Description

The Boulevard table lamp easily illuminates a living room, den or bedroom while projecting stylish sophistication. The chunky satin steel pole body and matching finial create a floating effect for the white silk-like fabric drum shade. Double sockets operated by pull-chains can be fitted with 100 Watt incandescent or equivalent bulbs. Two pull chain switches, each with on/off functionality allow for a dim or bright light setting. This lamp has a black cord and is smart outlet compatible. Bulbs are not included.

After spending hours and days searching online and in stores for attractive affordable lamps, I took a chance and ordered two of these for my nightstands. This pair provides symmetry and class in my otherwise eclectic furnished bedroom. I appreciate the flexibility of lighting for ambience and reading. The light is warm and cheerful or cozy as one desires. I was not about to spend a fortune at a high end store which now is charging additionally for a shade, for crying out loud! . The Boulevard lamp is adequate in construction. Not exactly heavy weight. Although it won't become a family heirloom, the style is classically simple and artistic and would be compatible in a variety of settings. The size is ample for a living room. In the bedroom it demands more than a wimpy size nightstand. Some might guess I spent more than I did on these lamps. The shades are white when the lamps are unlit; turned on, they appear a soft ivory. The order arrived in just a day or so (amazing) and was well packaged and in fine condition. Assembly was straight forward. I am happy with my purchase and the excellent service. Addendum: After using these lamps for a while I now notice that the column tilts ever-so-slightly. While others may not notice this, it annoys me and I wish I had not made the purchase because of this poor workmanship. ... show more

This is a very attractive, tall metal lamp with dual lights; one of the things I really like about it is you can put an oversize bulb (like a 100 watt equivalent LED bulb) in the socket, and the bulb will fit with plenty of space between shade and bulb. Before I bought this, I noted other reviewers complained about damaged shades; my unit was shipped in two cardboard boxes (the outer box had a gash in it from transport, I guess), but the second box was unscathed. Also it was well packed inside with cardboard supports to prevent the shade from being crushed. It would take a lot to damage this in transport NOW. (Maybe in past it wasn't as well protected). The lamp is quite tall, 28 inches high, and it has a decently heavy 8 inch base. I have mine up very high in the room to provide light that my new ceiling fan and light doesn't provide and I bought an extension cord that has a switch in the middle of it to connect to the lamp so I won't have to pull the little chain switches down each time to turn it on and off. By using two LED bulbs that are equivalent to 100 watts each, you can get a lot of light for a small room for a pretty reasonable price. My wife (more discerning than me) also thinks it is attractive and throws out a lot of light. Oh, for those who want an American lamp, this isn't it; it is made in China (but the quality control on this product is very high). Oh, one more thing: there is some simple assembly required. You don't need any special tools; you just screw in the pieces and pull the cord through. It takes about 3 minutes,assuming you have some dexterity. ... show more

It is well made and pretty, but something is wrong with the steel stand, different from what is shown in the instruction. so the bulbs are not totally concealed by the shade when you are standing closer to the lamp. it is also a large lamp.

This lamp is perfect for what I needed. I purchased 2 and use them on my nightstands. They are very well made. They were packed very well in double boxes. Lampshade was complete and did not need to be put together. Lamps were very easy to assemble....I didn't even look at the instructions they were that easy! I wanted lamps that took 100 watt bulbs as I have no overhead light in my bedroom and want it bright in there. Each lamp takes 2 100 watt bulbs. Pull chain turn on is great! You can have one or both bulbs on. Lampshade is big, I almost thought it would not fit in my space but it did. Be sure to look at measurement if you don't have alot of space. I searched for weeks for lamps and glad I found these! ... show more

This table lamp looks nice upon opening the packaging but is defective. As another reviewer said, the finial does not unscrew from the tube making assembly impossible. In fact, the finial and tube look to be soldered or glued together. Don’t order this item, because you will waste time trying to put it together and end up having to return it. Very happy with my purchase. Bought a pair for the living room to go on top of round glass end tables. Both were delivered intact and undamaged, thankfully. Love the large drum shades. Gives off a bright, clean look using 23W (100W equivalent output) warm white CFL bulbs. Just try to use the same 4 bulbs for the pair, otherwise the lighting will look off and inconsistent! One minor complaint is that they are a bit shorter than expected. The listed height of 28” includes the 3-inch finial on top. One reviewer had mentioned they were “ugly” (lol) with cheap chrome on top instead of the same brushed steel. Wish the finial was an inch or two shorter, and the main post a little taller instead. Coz it really does stick out when viewed across the room. I might decide to replace them at some point. Overall an excellent deal for the pair. A lot of lamps out there are priced WAY more than what these two had cost together. This Adesso lamp has the features, dimensions, color, and design that I was looking for so I am very, very satisfied. ... show more

love these lamps -- for the price you can't beat them -- has the high wattage for the bulbs and takes the new type of bulbs-- pretty, sleek, solid looking and nice solid pull chain on & off -- the only reason i gave it 4 stars is because there's three small shadows seen through the shade where it attaches to the three bars that hold it to the lamp and you can see the shadows of those bars where they bend there a bit -- also the shade is not seamless -- might just replace the shades ... show more
