I like the industrial look, so I just put the lampshade elsewhere and vibed with the bulb. The shelving itself is excellent, and assembly is pretty easy. For build-it-yourself furniture, I do agree with the reviews that say it's sturdy; once it's assembled there's no annoying wobble. I'm using mine to brighten up my room and display my knicknacky stuff, and I was surprised at how much it helped my room feel like it's mine rather than a boring white apartment room. There's three reasons I don't like the lampshade. First, because it's annoying to assemble; it's velcroed to the frame, and slightly too big for said frame. So when you put it in it tends to bow out or in and stuff. Second, because it dims the light bulb so much the light portion of the product is made less useful. Third, because it's just straight-up ugly; it's plain white canvas, which is understandable for the price, but the rest of it looks so good that for me it stands out in comparison. If there's anything I would suggest that the company change, it would be to add more bulb and lampshade options. I think it would be cool if people could easily customize, especially if we could save up and by a glass shade or something funky later on from the same company. Overall I really like it once I get rid of the lampshade. Once I manage to get a job I'm hoping to buy a second one! ... show more

I wouldn't hesitate to try a different product from them.**** Needed an inexpensive light for the corner of our living room, and the ability to change brightness and colors intrigued me. Also loved the idea of having more shelves for decor. Reality is that the shelves aren't that sturdy and I had to wedge under it to level it out. Not high quality. I do love the smart bulb and ability to change colors and brightness, but feel like I could have just gotten a different lamp and a smart bulb 🤷 It also loses it's Wi-Fi connection every few weeks and I have reset the bulb in the app. It was easy to assemble though. ... show more

Really brought the place together and I think it fits really well right in the corner. I did have issues with it being a bit wobbly but I also built it so fast I probably wasn’t careful so yes it is easy to build but take your time. Update: it doesn't rattle, and the only time it moved was when my cat decided the cord to turn it on and off was a toy and then decided to experiment with pushing the shade around also (naughty kitty, but she's adorable). I am more satisfied with the lamp than I was after I assembled it, and I didn't even realize the lightbulb has different color/tone options which was a nice surprise (I didn't even know it came with the bulb, but I really didn't read much as carefully as I usually do). The seller also reached out to me with a generous offer which made me think again about how the lamp has been the last couple days, and I would have felt dishonest accepting their offer because the lamp has grown on me, and I realized that the review deserved an update too. (The seller did not ask me to, or even imply that they would like me to change my review.) Original Review I’ll have to go back through the product description to see whether or not there’s anything that warns you in advance that the lampshade just sits on the top shelf, because if I had realized that I would not have bought this. As you can see in my photos the lampshade does not sit flush on the top shelf. This could be because one of the support bars I received is warped, it could be because the lampshade arrives folded flat and in half and I did not fully understand the directions for shaping it, it could be because it holds its form by velcroing on to a metal square, but since it is slightly off-balance, even on a table, I think it is combination of all of these things.
