The floor lamp was easy to assemble and has a slim stylish glass lamp. The on/off switch lays on floor and is operated with your foot (stepping on button). This is convenient if you’re putting the lamp in a corner because you put the switch out a little. The light is super bright. One con I found, though, is that the bulb socket does not sit straight, so when the bulb is in, it leans to the side. (It does not sit vertically.). I tried moving the socket but it doesn’t stay. This isn’t really noticeable when the light is on. The light is bright, since it’s a clear “shade” it’s better behind your “line of sight”… just the brightness.

I was super excited about this lamp. I think Edison bulbs are ultra cool and now that they're done with LED + filament, you can get that pro style look in your home easily. After unboxing I was pleasantly surprised by it's sold construction and simple directions. Putting it together took 5 minutes. Looked good and ready to go. When I went to turn it on I noticed what looks like a brightness dial was actually just an on button. When lit it was super bright, like suntan yourself levels. And WHITE. I also noticed that one of the sections of the bulb was either unattached or burnt out. Not a good look when a section is missing. I ordered a dimmer, one that promised that it doesn't flicker along with the dimmable bulb included with the lamp. Set that up and not only did it flicker it looked like strobe light. Determined not to fault the lamp for this, I ordered a second dimmer and it worked perfectly. I do strongly advise to get a dimmer, just choose carefully with solid feedback from others that can affirm it will not flicker with LED.

The light came quickly as was super easy to assemble simply by screwing the poes together. What is very odd however, is the light itself once screwed in has a tilting option that allows you to tilt it either left or right by about 20 degrees. This tilt is lost however once you add the fluted "shade" since it screws into a fixed base. So not sure why it has the tilting option since it becomes mute once completely assembled. So this is confusing - but the light looks modern with the gold hammertone finish and is great for those small spaces that a regular lamp shade with a larger diameter shade would not fit.

The top where the bulb screws in is bent all the way over and the bulb has a couple sections that don't light up. I put it together in hope's of fixing the top and couldn't quite get it perfectly straightened. It is a sturdy lamp, has a floor switch and doesn't wobble. The instructions say 10 minutes to assemble, I actually did it in 5, so there's that. I don't know 8f damage was from shipping 9r packaging but if not for those 2 problem's I would give 4 possibly 5 star's and would have purchased a 2nd. To match.

Appearance: This lamp is better looking than it has any right to be for the price. It manages to be both subtle and striking at the same time. I think it looks great with my living room set-up and I really couldn't ask for anything better at this price point. Quality: Sometimes these lamps can feel less than solid. this feels solid and well made. Light: This is where I took off a star. The lightbulb itself is pretty bright- you don't want to be looking straight at the lamp. At the same time the lighting it provides is fairly weak. I'm actually good with the amount of light it provides as it's soft and perfect for a living room in the evening but the actual brightness of the light bulb can be a little irritating.
