I wanted something brighter than the fairy string lights and this is it. I like the brightness modes since most of the time I'll run on dimmest setting. The remote is a must for me because the solar panel is mounted to the roof and not easy to get to. The only downside I've seen is the brightness is reset when it comes on the next day. It doesn't keep settings from once cycle to the next. Even if you use the lowest brightness and 4 hours it comes on the next day in bright mode (I know all the battery wasn't used). After 4 or 5 hours direct sun the lights will last about 7 hours if you leave the default brightness. ... show more

These look amazing in our backyard! Gives light off where there is none in the backyard and gives a great atmosphere to the backyard when people are over. We have two sets and they work off on remote. Only down side is one set of lights decides when it wants to respond to the remote to turn off. I like these solar rechargeable lights, they are nice addition to my back deck. They come on automatically at dark and stay lit for most of the night. The next day they charge and come back on automatically at night. My neighbors have lights on their decks but they are plugged into an outlet (which I do not have) and one has a timer so that her lights come on at dark and go off later. As the days get shorter she has to change the timer, which I am sure is a PITA. The longevity of these lights remains to be seen but for the cost I feel like it was a good investment even if I have to replace them after a couple of years. ... show more

I bought a 3rd pack to finish out an area over an outdoor space. Super easy to install. the Solar makes it great for outdoor use and not have to worry about power cords outside. Its ok brightness, more of mood lighting. You aren't going to read a book by it. Well worth the price and I love the fact that all 3 packages respond to the same remote controls. I got two sets of these I loved them so much! The first set I put up on my porch and the second one I put around my chicken coop. It has a remote control with on off options, different modes (solid or blinking) and different hour lengths for it to stay on.

I got a lot compliments on this lights I installed them a month after getting them after 4 months in my porch they no longer work. Don't get the Asurion Protection Plan it's a lot of hassle to file a claim!!! Page does not work how the heck can a person file a complaint if the page does not work?? When it gets to the description of the product it does not go forward whatever!!! Some things from Amazon work fine others not so much. ... show more
