I bought these lights to light up my deck. They do that really well, I've gotta say. The spacing between bulbs is perfect and they cover everything evenly. No dark spots at all. My neighbor actually came over to ask where I got them because his backyard looks so dim in comparison (haha). These lights are pretty bright too, especially compared to some of the cheaper ones out there. They feel sturdy too, like they could handle a good storm or two. I did have one issue though, and that was with the dimmer switch not being included. It would've been nice if they threw one in for free, but I guess you can't win them all. Still, these lights are pretty high quality and look great on my deck. They really elevate the ambiance of the whole space, especially when I have friends over for a barbecue or something. If you're looking for some good outdoor string lights, definitely give these a shot. Just make sure to grab a dimmer switch separately if you want that feature (I forgot mine and ended up ordering one off Amazon, lol). ... show more

These lights were strung outside for about a year or two in our courtyard to add ambiance and improve the usability of the space. They seemed to work quite well, but over time, many were filled with water when it rained, and some began to fail. (Many do continue to operate while half full of water, especially when the content does not exceed the height of the light filament. ) My only issue is that the lights should be sealed more thoroughly to prevent rainwater from seeping into the bulbs. ... show more

UPDATE - The seller contacted me and offered a choice of a replacement or refund. This shows they stand by their product. I may have just got a bad item, but this doesn't mean the others are bad. They will make it right if you are not happy almost half of the bulbs are already burned out in just a couple months. I have a different set (different, more expensive brand) that has been burning for several years. It's way too much trouble to climb a ladder to replace half the bulbs every couple months. ... show more
