I needed a portable welder for small jobs around the house, specifically a railing base that had come loose. This welder did a fine job of securing the metal. This welder has a built-in hot start and it is light-weight, efficient and energy-saving. One single MMA welding mode is easy to operate and is compatible with 1/16'' to 5/32'' welding rods. I used 5/32 rods for my project and it handled well. I used the 110v option. Overall it was a good value for the money, I had gotten a quote from a professional company to do this repair and it was over $500. This welder cost a fraction of that.

I am new to welding, and this unit is great. The welder is smaller in person than from the picture. It came with most of the accessories needed to start welding right away except for the welding rods. I like that this welder is a true 160A welder. It came with a 110 to 220 outlet plug adapter. The kit even came with a welding eye shield. The led screen is large, and controls are very simple. I will need more practice, but so far, I think this is a great setup for beginners.
