This Action Pump THP-ST hand-operated piston drum pump is made of stainless steel for resistance to corrosion, delivers 22 oz. per stroke, and is suitable for dispensing corrosive chemicals such as MEK (methyl ethyl ketone), acetone, and toluol. It comes with a 2" bung adapter. its a pretty decent pump, used it to pump acetone out of a 55 gallon drum at work. good strong stream once it starts going. but it start to not keep a tight seal when dealing with acetone. started leaking out the top near the pull handle. about early ~ November I bought it February 2021, had to switch it out at the beginning of December 2021. the leaking out the top was getting bad. to much waste for the price of acetone today was used multiple times a day by different people in a shop environment ... show more

Great pump. Seems well made and heavy duty. We use it to pump an aggressive degreaser and itโ€™s holding up well. More expensive that the plastic version of these pumps but seems like it will last longer and not leak at the shaft packing like the plastic ones alway start to do quickly.

So far so good, we use these for 55 gallon drums of mold release and roll coat cleaner (some pretty aggressive chemicals) in our manufacturing plant. Almost 2 months and still going strong. Previous pumps had rusted and broken in half within a couple of weeks but this is the best one we have have so far.     • They don't seal very well - Even with lots of Teflon Tape.

I have ordered two of these at different time and both leak. Seals are not great. Even with Lots of Teflon Tape they leak. These are supposed to be Corrosive Safe so not holding a seal isn't great.

For the love of God do not buy this pump! The first time I used it to pump from a 60 gallon drum of Peroxyacetic Acid, a VERY dangerous and aggressive chemical, it failed. Instead of releasing a certain amount of liquid with each pump of the piston, it acted as a siphon creating a stream of liquid that was impossible to stop without removing the entire unit from the drum. I spilled about a gallon of acid and created a mess. I could have been badly hurt or worse! Thank GOD this was outside or my entire building would be shut down right now due to VERY toxic fumes. Amazon was great and issued a refund immediately but that does not diminish how dangerous this could have been. ... show more
