I can't say this didn't work. It just v didn't work for ME. It actually made it even more difficult for my office chair wheels to roll when I am sitting down, I'm guessing, because my carpet allows it to sink in and make grooves so that it is difficult to roll out of. Not sure how to fix that, but beware that something like that is a possibility. I work from home and can't keep standing to move the chair when it's in a groove. Too bad. I really was excited. My carpet is probably too high. ... show more

I have had this mat for about a month and it does what I wanted to do namely protect the carpet. Yes when I sit in one position for a while it does leave indentations but they disappear pretty quickly. For the money I think I did okay. This is an update. after about a year and a half it started to crack. I am happy with this mat and ordered another one. ... show more

    • Not good enough for my big desk chair
UPDATE: I definitely would not recommend this for a main office desk chair. It it way to flexible. Wheels just sink in and get stuck. Almost as bad as the carbet. Original Review: This is thinner and not as strong as I expected. I guess I have to spend an outrageous amount of money to get one that doesn't just dent in from the weight of the chair (much less with a person in it). I have the extra large wheels and this still doesn't make the chair easy to roll. I'm under 180 lbs., so I would expect more from this product. Also didn't expect the "cutout" corners. I thought this was fully rectangular, but it is not. One mor thing... The review "stars" asked my about the "drying power" of the product. Don't think that is very important... :) ... show more

Excellent quality. But make sure you have someone very strong to help you unroll it! My 17 year old weight lifter son and I STRUGGLED to unroll it together. We got it, and we laughed while doing it- but it was a work out!

I thought this would be a good buy and not have to wrestle getting one home from Costco in my small car while getting stabbed by the little spikes on the back side. This product comes rolled up in a narrow box, which should have been my first clue that it would be a problem. It is made with a thinner, more pliable material that any mat that I have had in the past, and after following the instructions to unroll it and let it settle into a flat shape - I let it lay there in the middle of the living room for over a month before finally putting it in the office - it still does not lay completely flat. It's now been nearly 2 months since my purchase still trying to give it a chance (which of course made me miss the "return product window") and it still is not laying completely flat, to where the edges are slightly raised, just enough to stub a toe on. :-( And the little teeth on the back DO NOT hold it in place on the carpet like the mats I've had in the past - I am constantly having to adjust it every couple of days after it shifts so that it is not scraping against the bottom piece of my desk. And you can probably see in the photo the chair dents in the mat after sitting in it for only a few minutes, which make it very hard to roll the chair around and not get stuck in the dents. It also says this product has a lipped edge around it but I don't see or feel any lip so the wheels of my chair always get stuck if I happen to roll off the edge of the mat.
