Description

This Action Pump EZ-55 pump is a double action drum pump for fluid delivery on both up and down strokes. It is made of polypropylene and polyethylene for resistance to a wide range of acid, alkaline, caustic, and chlorine-based chemicals, oils, crop chemicals, diesel and liquid fertilizers. The design of the pumping mechanism eliminates the parts that wear for longer life of the unit. It has a high-volume delivery at low pressure for safety when pumping harsh chemicals. It has a 2" National Pipe Straight (NPS) adapter and a 2" buttress adapter. Good luck finding adapters for this pump if it does not fit on your drum. We got 2 of these pumps for our shop and need a 57mm adapter to be able to use them. After searching and inquiring for over 3 weeks still no luck. It seems all the folks in the adapter business have somekind of issue with doing business the normal way. From the people at Action Pump, to Basco don't seem to care one bit to help out. They just refer you to another vendor that refers you to another. Total baloney with these people! ... show more

    • Quality Pump With Minor Issues

I use this pump to pump glycerin from a 55 gallon drum. It works really well but I have a few minor issues with the construction of the pump. 1. the insert for the bung is a little loose around the pump that is inserted into the barrel. This causes the pump to slip and slide instead of pumping. Fixed easily with holding the pump down, but a more secure fit would be nicer. 2. The output nozzle isn't as long as I'd like it to be. A few more inches would make it a lot easier to fill containers next to your drum. 3. The pump has minor "leakage" on the part that actually pumps up and down into the drum. If you're not familiar with glycerin, it can be very sticky and without a solvent (water), almost impossible to remove residue. While I'm very satisfied with the product. It does leave room for improvement. ... show more

I have several products in 55 gal drums. This was the 4th pump I tried (sorry, Amazon) for my most viscous product, which is water based. This pump is a dream. No priming until your arm is going to fall off, just an easy setup and and easier dispensing experience. 5/5 would recommend to a friend.

Works well for rain barrel drum. Pricey for what we are using it for. Able to stick a 6’ rubber hose on the end and a few pumps and suction takes care of the rest. Not sure how it will hold up with the NC sun.

I live in Oklahoma (tornado alley), so it's smart to have standby water. I needed a reliable, well-made pump, as my old siphon pump did a poor job. I decided I needed something more reliable. This new pump fills the bill for my home water supply. It works and works well. It gives good flow with minimal effort. I use this product to pump vegetable glycerin out of a drum. Previously I had other pumps from a different manufacturer that didn't last. This pump seems great so far. Does the job just fine without any issues. I love how fast it allows me to empty out a whole drum (gives you a nice workout too). I am using these pumps on 55 Gallon Liquid Organic Fertilizer. They work great and they are AMERICAN MADE!!!. The safety cap is nice and simple to use. We appreciate the simple excellence. We are a, MADE in the USA buyer. And we return cheap foreign products sold under false pretenses. Now the shipping has a lot to be desired... Who ever oversized the box was nuts...!
