It's stable and performs well. It's powerful enough to display Zoom's large gallery of users, which requires a good bit of video power. Has all the ports I need. Updated: Purchased this little guy in early 2024 and it has made it past the 1 year mark. Only issue is the fan just started making terrible noises. Fortunately, they also made this thing easy to open. I don't know if I can find a fan replacement, but I'm still not complaining about this thing for the price. This is a powerful little machine for what I do. If you're looking for gaming, this is not a gaming machine, but it works perfectly for my ADHD F1 addiction. I have it pushing (2) 35" LG widescreen curved monitors with no issues. Overall, it was packaged really nice had a clean copy of Windows 11 Home Edition on it with no bloatware or other stuff. For the price and for my application (work & school), this is a perfect machine.

Baofeng assured me that the only difference between the DM-1701 and the DR-1801UV was the 1701 had a color display and the 1801 had a B&W display. First, the 1701 is larger in size and just looks and feels cheap. Secondly, the way the battery clips into the radio made it feel like that would break in short order. Third, this radio appeared to have been a non-working return that was put back into stock and re-sold. Fourth, the radio was totally non-working right from the box. I took it out of the box, clipped the battery in, placed it in the charger. Once charged, I turned the radio on and all it did was rapidly cycle between on/off, the screen flashed rapidly between full screen/half screen, 1/4 screen, blank, on/off...this thing was a total mess. I re-boxed it and returned it within an hour of receiving it.

Similar experience as with other Chinese products, they need so little to be good products but fail at the last step. Maybe they fail because of the spying setting?! First, I bought 2 identical computers, and they had two different settings out of the box. Computers behave differently. Both came with Google Chrome (?!) using some shady search engines!!! So, yeah, it is not clean Windows on the computer as you would expect. The settings are weird; I have a feeling CCP Is monitoring me. Now, one computer is extremely fast in everything, the other one is sluggish. Fir example, I have 1Mbps upload/download. The faster computer gets 550 uploads and 600 downloads, and the slower one gets 135 uploads and 155 downloads. I tested them from the same spot on the same network with the same testing software. I tried everything, even the (WhatsApp text) support, but it was useless. I couldn't improve the performance of the slower one. Like, bootup time is different!!! Also, the mic/phone jack doesn't switch automatically; however, you can listen to earphones once you switch inside Windows. Now, I really wanted to give 5 stars to the product because I got two computers for ~$650, but really, they deserve 2 stars. After this review, I wouldn't be surprised if CCP remotely shuts down both computers for good. Update: A day after the review, the HDMI on the faster computer stopped working. Coincidence?

I'm not a computer tech, but I have some braincells. I am not running games on this. Just windows, office, and web browsers. After about a month, the computer became incredibly sluggish when a web browser is running. Initially, I used Chrome, but it started to run so slowly that the mouse and keyboard freeze up continuously that it was unusable. I tried Firefox, same problem. Re-installed windows, thinking maybe I jacked up some settings somewhere.... same problem. Hard factory reset computer.... same problem. There is something going on with the hardware on this computer. It is unusable at this point.
