I have a 2017 Chevrolet Volt.. and it required this special AGM battery. The dealers wanted to charge me $400 to install a new one. Instead, I found it here... and installed it myself (very easily, just search YOUTUBE for installation guidance videos). Lots of money saved. This is the exact same one that dealers would install as well.. (I double checked with a Volt Technician friend of mine). WORTH IT! Get it here and do it yourself! ... show more

    • Perfect fit for 2019 Chevrolet Volt.
It's a perfect fit for my 2019 Chevrolet Volt. Most annoying thing was taking everything out to replace the old battery, but I was able to do it using a socket wrench with 10mm and 13mm adapters. There was a bolt holding the strap down, and it was in a bit of an awkward position, so I used a socket extension, but you may be able to get away without using one. ... show more

    • Volt APM is not happy with this battery.
My Chevy Volt measures everything, including the Auxiliary Power Module (APM) that converts high voltage battery energy to replenish the 12V. The car is really not happy with this battery, keeps setting random nuisance codes on start up. The battery voltage is fine, I measured 12.7V after day of bench rest. APM is putting out ~14V normally, but is already starting to do its "desulfate" cycle where it sends ~16V into this battery for very short bursts. This one has been in the car just over six months. I got 4 years from the OEM one, and nearly 7 from an aftermarket Duracell. I'll be replacing this ACDelco garbage before winter, after less than a year in service. Horrible value! ... show more

$100 less than what the auto parts store could offer for my 2015 Chevy Volt. Being that it's in the rear of the car, installation was more difficult, but that's not a battery issue. Came fully charged at 12.87V and was manufactured the previous month. After pulse charging for a day and installation it tested at well above the rate 660 CCA (about 720 as I recall). The previous battery lasted for 8 years and still started the car fine, but the RC was probably lacking and that's important in electric vehicles as the AC is electric and not engine driven. ... show more

    • 2017 Chevy Volt - Same OEM quality
Installed 3 weeks ago and my 2016 Chevy Volt is running great. After 135,000 miles, I decided to change the battery. The original battery came with the car is still good (the same AC Delco) but since it is 8 years old, I initiated a preventive maintenance by installing newer battery.

    • Battery failed within 3 months
I purchased this battery in December of last year and it worked fine until February of this year. I was getting a battery warning on my dash after 2 months, but I thought it was my hybrid electric battery since this was just a couple of months old. Unfortunately, it went bad as my brother was returning from dropping me off at the airport. I was unable to get any help from the company because I couldn't provide a test strip because I was out of the country when the battery was tested and replaced. Oh well, $179 dollars plus the Triple A tow fee down the drain. ... show more

It's difficult to source and buy OEM batteries locally. Amazon was significantly cheaper, and more convenient. As far as I can tell, the silver and gold use similar parts on the inside with warranty being the largest difference. Time will tell if it lasts as long as my old battery which lasted 8 years ... show more
