I love the feeling of this stick. Since I fly the f-18 in DCS often. I'm glad to have the 1 to 1 bindings. The buttons feel great and the construction of the stick is excellent and doesn't seem like it'll be getting replaced any time soon.

If you already have a Warthog HOTAS system and find yourself flying the DCS F/A-18 Hornet more and more regularly, then this add-on is going to feel great to you! Like flying the A-10 with your WH HOTAS, switches start to 'just make sense' when they match up more with their IRL counterparts (or virtual counterparts in this case). In my opinion this stick is more ergonomically comfortable to use than the A-10, even though it does not have a palm/wrist relief at the base. I have M/L - L hands and I don't feel them tightening or cramping as much flying with this as opposed to the stock A-10 stick. All the switches and buttons feel good, EXCEPT ONE (hence review title) which after doing some googling I've determined seems to be an issue in production or QC for this stick. The Weapon Select Switch (5-way hat on the left side of the stick - similar location to CMS on Warthog, sticks. Each position has a nice tactile *click* but unfortunately, almost every time I pull the hat AFT, it fails to return to its central position. Other than that one issue (which I'm currently opening a ticket with TM support for) this stick has been a great addition to my virtual air arsenal. I will say the price point is probably still a bit high for this product, in my opinion, but I was able to find one through a vendor here on Amazon at a decent enough deal to pull the trigger. Completely overrated, the only metal part is the base. All buttons are plastic, the top half of the stick is a black plastic cover, not metal at all, feels very lightweight on the top half. My castle switch doesn't work at all. Switches feel cheap, keep your money and stick with the stock Warthog joystick, far superior build quality. ... show more
