I had to replace one of the wheels on my desk chair and this fit the bill. I am on a carpet so it works well on that - carpet it thin. Not sure how it would be on a thicker carpet or hardwoods.

These don't roll well on a hard wood floor for me when I sit in the chair, it's difficult for me to manuver across the floor without using my feet to apply weigh more strength than I should have to. I really should just be able to push away from my desk with my hands and roll across the floor.

Great price , good enough poduct. The casters do not have rubber "tires" on them. You roll around on bare plastic, which limits their longevity. However, given the cheap price, they're worthwhile.

My chair wheels only had 3/8 inch holes from the previous castors. No problem I had a 7/16 inch reamer and enlarged the holes in 5 minutes. Worked perfect and much better than the original wheels that came with the chair. Slow speed drill so you don't heat up the plastic.
