The Sony INZONE Mat-F Control-Type Large Cloth Gaming Mousepad offers a comfortable blend of design and performance. Its 6mm thickness provides a cushioned feel under the hand, making it more pleasant than thinner or overly dense pads. Out of the box, the surface feels smooth with minimal friction, allowing for fast and precise mouse movements. One drawback is that the mat doesn’t lie completely flat right away. Even after 24 hours on the desk, the edges remained curled, though after a couple of days it did settle—patience is required. The SlimFlex non-slip rubber base keeps the pad in place, but it’s less grippy than expected, so long-term effectiveness remains to be seen. The slick top surface makes mouse movements extremely quick and accurate, and the generous size (480mm x 400mm / 19" x 15.75") provides ample space for gaming or work. The edge stitching feels durable, suggesting it will hold up well over time. Visually, the design is sleek and stylish without being flashy, making it a great addition to any setup. I plan to gift this pad to my daughter, an avid gamer, and expect she’ll find it just as advantageous. I was excited to see this mat become available, but it falls short on a couple of details, then makes up a bit on the most important feature. As you can see in the photos, this mat does not lie flat. The photos were taken after about 24 hours of lying (top side up) on my desk to see if it would relax and flatten out. It has't. I also attached a photo of this Sony INZONE Mat-D next to my nothing-special desk mat that I've been using, to compare the bottom sides. The Mat-D has barely any grip to my desk and can be easily moved just by lightly pushing on one edge, even easier to move by holding one edge and pulling. The nothing-special mat won't even think of going anywhere if I just lightly push on an edge, and it puts up a fight even at increased pressure. To move it by pulling on an edge, it takes a pretty firm pull to get it to move. I mention the pulling part because my 2 1/2 year old and 1 year old grandsons have been caught trying to pull the nothing-special mat down a few times, and it hasn't budged. No doubt, they'd have the Mat-D down on the first try, and the 1 year old would be checking it out to see how it tastes. So, I can't say that I agree with the claim of a non-slip base, at all. You can see in the photo that the nothing-special base has a lot of texture, whereas the Mat-D is pretty smooth, but the Mat-D's lack of grip is likely affected by the side edges being curled, keeping it from lying completely flat. Will this issue resolve itself over time, is the question. Or is the issue a result of the dropped stitching, coupled with being rolled up for shipping? Is the top side material less pliable? Speaking of the top side, it definitely feels different than any mouse pad I've ever felt. It has a hardness that feels almost like it has a thin plastic shell. That feel definitely allows for super slick mouse movement. I'm not a gamer, but I do a lot of tasks that I need to move quickly, and mouse lag or inaccuracy makes me crazy. Time will tell if this not so flat mat will be a problem. I'll be sure to update this review accordingly. However, my son-in-law is a gamer, so I'll have him give this a go and report back from a gaming perspective.

The thickness of this mousepad gives it a nice squish under my hand, unlike most mousepads which are either thin or have some thickness but are made of a dense material. The surface is smooth with minimal friction. And it doesn’t get hot over time. The material hasn’t shown any signs of wear after about a month of gaming, so the quality is pretty good. My only complaint is I wish it was bigger and came in more designs. Because this is definitely the nicest mouse pad I’ve had.

This Sony mousepad is a great size for gaming, and the quality is immediately apparent. It unrolled flat and has no odor. It's surprisingly comfortable, thanks to the thick, cushy material. The surface has a noticeable amount of friction, which took some getting used to, but I can see how it helps with precise aiming. But it's a very high-quality product that does exactly what it says it will. If you find speed pads to be too slippery, this would be a great one to try.

This is a nice large-format mouse pad with plenty of space for smooth tracking and quick movements. The color fade is a standout look that I really love- stylish without being over the top. The construction feels solid with low-friction cloth that’s comfortable for extended use, and the non-slip rubber base adds reliability by keeping it in place. The stitched edges seem durable enough to prevent fraying over time, making it a great choice for frequent gaming or work. For the price, it offers good value as a nice looking pad that does its job well.

The Sony Inzone Mat-D not only looks great, is a good quality gaming mousepad. The one thing to keep in mind is the size of the mousepad. It measures 18.5" X 15.5", so it isn't quite large enough for a 75% keyboard and mouse. The mouse pad is about 4MM thick and it was rolled up in a box. It took a few minutes to settle, but eventually the corners set flat on my desk. This isn't a very heavy gaming mouse pad relative to some others that I've used in the past, and my mouse glided smoothly without any issues. The backside of the mouse pad is black with a rubber base that does a fairly decent job from keeping the mousepad from sliding around. The perimeter of the mousepad is stitched well and I didn't notice any issues in workmanship. Overall, the Sony Inzone mousepad is exactly as described. Highly recommend!
