This is a very good looking stool so no complaints there. I wasn't too worried about the reviews that mentioned the foot rest falling off because things do happen, but my chair only survived three months when the weld failed and now my legs are dangling uncomfortably.

Use this chair for the front desk at my business. Looks nice, the front desk staff feels it’s comfortable, and it was less than $100. The hydraulic works well, although it does start at a higher position and full extension is a bit excessive for our needs so we keep it at its lowest point. UPDATE....I have to own my failure to assemble this stool properly. I'm so embarrassed. There's a little black cap that is on one of the parts that Must.Be.Removed prior to full assembly, if it is not removed, the chair will not go up and down. Customer service was excellent (and kind) in pointing out my error. Once removed (which was difficult FYI) this chair exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend it!! I'm so excited to gift it to my mom, I really think she'll love it. Just read the dang instructions thoroughly prior to assembly. Lol Original review.... I searched high and low for the perfect chair for my mom for Christmas (she had many requests). This one seemed to fit the bill and looked unique, so I went for it. It arrive well packaged and had minimal notable damage (small dent that wouldn't be visible from daily use) and once assembled, it's incredibly comfortable and looks amazing/high end!! Now for the massive flaw...the lever to go up and down doesn't work at all. And once the chair is assembled, the main post that fits into the base is IMPOSSIBLE to remove. I have contacted the company for a resolution and am waiting to hear back. I love this chair so much and I'm willing to jump through a couple hoops but it has to do what it's supposed to do. On the bright side, it's a truly beautiful unique stool and even my husband said so. He never agrees with my taste in stuff. Haha I'll update if this gets resolved. ... show more

I purchased 3 of these stools - 2 to use at the kitchen bar/counter and 1 to use at a raised desk. I've really enjoyed these and they've worked great, except the footrest broke on one of the stools so it is no longer usable. I emailed AC Pacific through their website on 2/7/21 regarding getting a replacement stem piece and have not received a response in over a month. So I contacted the Amazon warranty department on 2/17/21 and have not gotten a response from them either. We tried fixing the foot rest, but were unsuccessful. I've found other brand replacement stems that may work on this chair, but they look different and I'd prefer to stick with the same brand and look. The other 2 chairs have held up great. They are the primary chairs we use when eating or having friends over, so they've gotten a good amount of daily use. The upholstery still looks great after more than a year and our clean-up has mainly been vacuuming crumbs out from next to the cushion and cleaning dust and dog hair off the base (no kids to climb or spill on the stools). The lift mechanism works as expected and we haven't had any problems with the stools "sinking" over time. ... show more

Being a Disabled Veteran I must find the absolute best chair or stool to use in whatever I'm doing. A few years ago I had a custom-made adjustable stand-up desk made because, at the time, standing was the best position for my spine. Well, as the past few years passed, because I have a lot of neurological damage from my military time I began to have problems with just standing. To accommodate this change I searched for an adjustable stool that would allow for me to continue to use the expensive stand -up desk, and still sit down from time to time. I'm quite fussy about what I purchase so I looked for months locally and online for an acceptable stool. Those in the local office supply stores appeared, and were, shotty pieces of furniture to say the least. I was skeptical about ordering this stool because of the very competitive pricing. I'm now sitting in it writing this review and I must say that this is the best value I've seen in any item I've purchased in a long while. It arrived in a couple of days (as always for Prime Members) and within minutes I had it unboxed, assembled, in my home, and sitting on it. Just a few parts that were easy for even me to assemble. Now comes the best part; it looks like a top of the line stool worth twice as much as it's cost on here on Amazon. Very rich-looking too; like it belongs in an executive office environment. Firstly this chair was super easy to put together. It took me less than 10 minutes with no tools which included getting it out of all the packaging which I think is a real plus for a retired female!. The chair is very comfortable in the seat and gives good lumbar support. The handle for adjusting height is not really easy to reach but for a younger person this might be less of an issue. I am totally satisfied with one of the pair I bought The second chair was not as well wrapped inside and some of the exposed areas had paint peeled off. There was also a ding in the shiny base. Although this was not major it was very obvious due to the distorted reflections of other things around it. There was also so indented scratches. However, I called amazon and got a return code immediately. I had to take it to Kohls to return as I didn't know how to dissemble it for repacking. I think these chairs will be perfect for prepping food at the counter while swiveling to talk to guests.... just hoping the replacement is in good shape. update. I received a new chair very quickly and am very happy with these chairs. they are comfortable and very stable. a great value! ... show more
