We used it to replace an existing not working winch. It works. Once the old winch fixed, we’ll move the AC-DK winch to a movable lift. We use the movable lift to move heavy loads such as big log, engine, motor, concrete..etc. The crank handle with 3.2:1 gear makes lift the heavy weight manageable. The lift also have large heavy duty wheels for ease of moving. -- ... show more

Of note, it is on the smaller side of winches, being only about 6" X 5" in size. Seems well-built and I think it very suitable for loading, dragging or lifting, but only if in keeping within the stated 600 lb capacity load range.
