This thing works great! Lights up and is easy to use. Has a little light on it that helps sometimes when you’re inside a furnace and need a little bit of light accurate measurements. Intuitive use does everything I needed to do and is inexpensive has a nice case and nice leads Just used it today several times and I’m impressed. The values fluctuate a little bit when you first connect it but give it a second or two and it will settle down and match even your fluke or fieldpiece meters. That is the only drawback that I see is it takes a second or two for it to settle down and read . It is small and lightweight in direct sunlight. It is a little hard to read, but if you turn it out of the sun and hit the backlight, everything is fine.

The meter has all the curerent and voltage measuring capability most people need. Well made and despite a negative comment or two about the quality of the test probes, the pair in my set are very high quality. I would definitely buy it again.

The most negative thing about the unit is that it is not a Kiaweets but looks like it except for the name tag, seems to function like the latter, and the instructions seem to be the same. The pictures on Amazon are a little misleading as they only show HT208D without the full name. So, for $59 for the Habotest versus $89 for the Kiaweets, it seems like a bargain for the casual user. For the components I checked, it works fine and seems to be accurate. The instructions say to remove the batteries for extended storage. The good news is that if the unit is in the OFF position, it does not draw any power. So the only issue would be if the batteries leaked. However, it the unit auto-powers off, the unit consumes about 18 uA. So, leaving the batteries in the unit for months would drain them if auto-powered off. The display is hard to see in bright light. No indication of the warranty for the Habotest. Good value from what I could see.

Intendvision AC/DC Digital Clamp Meter I had this clamp meter tested in a laboratory to confirm it meets the guaranteed specifications listed in the manual. I will quickly type the specifications of this meter in the review and include pictures from the manual. I urge the seller to post these specifications in the listing. DC Voltage +/- (0.5% of reading + 3 digits) AC Voltage +/- (0.8% of reading + 5 digits) Resistance +/- (1.0% of reading + 3 digits) Capacitance +/- (4.0% of reading + 10 digits) AC Current +/- (3.0% of reading + 10digits) DC Current +/- (3.0% of reading + 10digits) Temperature +/- (2.0% of reading + 2digits) for Celsius Scale Temperature +/- (2.0% of reading + 4digits) for Fahrenheit Scale First I’ll say these specifications are competitive with expensive name brand meters. The results of the laboratory tests showed that this meter did an exceptionally good job at measuring: DC Voltage, AC Voltage, Resistance, and Temperature Exceptional meaning they measured the electrical stimuli at an accuracy less than 50% of its manufacturer’s rated specifications. Some characteristics about the meter. The meter is made from a durable hard plastic. The rotary switch is rigid and clicks securely into place. The soft front panel buttons are designed to respond to deliberate presses; short accidental presses won’t disrupt the measurement. Overall, this is a solidly built camp meter. The meter also came with a soft shelled carrying case, a pair of test leads colored accordingly, and a K-Type thermocouple. The test leads aren’t professional quality; however, they will get the job done in a pinch. A professional should purchase those accessories separately, and these are just a convenience to the user. If you’re on a budget for test equipment and you need something accurate, stop looking and buy this now! As always, test equipment of this nature should be checked and calibrated at least once a year. Even the most expensive yellow brand company fails calibration after years of use.

Used this after my HVAC stopped working. I removed the dual starting capacitor and used this to check the capacitance. The capacitor had failed in the ultra hot Texas weather. I got a replacement capacitor on Amazon (I keep a spare just in case) and was back in business in less than 20 minutes. Checked the inrush current just to be sure. I checked it against the nameplate value. This saved me a service call and paid for itself several times over in money, time, worry and reduced wife anxiety.
