Bought one and the 4x6 was a little snug, so when I forced the bracket onto the 4x6 with a hammer it cracked the bracket. Bought a new set and shaved the 4x6 down a little, it went on. After assembled I swung on it and no issues. Built the swing for my grandchildren and they love it. Replaced an old swing we had for years. I would buy again.

These Heavy Duty Swing Set Brackets (2 black A-frame brackets and 4 black swing hangers) worked perfectly for building a solid backyard swing set using one 12-foot 4x6 beam for the top crossbar and four 10-foot 4x4 legs—I assembled the A-frames with the brackets, attached the hangers, and everything lined up straight and sturdy right from the start. The heavy-duty construction feels rock-solid with no wobble or flex under kids swinging hard, and the included hardware (bolts, nuts, washers) was high-quality and easy to tighten down securely. For extra support on the longer span, I added 2x4 cross bracing on the arms (or you could go with 2x6 for even more rigidity if you want overkill strength), which eliminated any side-to-side movement and made the whole setup incredibly stable. Installation was straightforward with basic tools, the black powder-coated finish looks clean and matches well, and after months of heavy use, there's zero rust or loosening—great value for a durable, kid-safe swing set build. Highly recommend these brackets—five stars!

Please do your research on this product, as far as the over look of the brackets they look nice, but that is all. The body of the brackets are very very thin aluminum and will crack on you simply fitting them to you post. I had mine sat waiting on the swing to come in and noticed in the very corner of the bracket had what looked to be a small crack started on both inside places. After removing them the on that was cracked ended up being more than what the eye could see. Considering the beam over head is a 4x6 I don’t think I would like what may happen if this was to bust with a person seating on swing. The fit was way too tight, very unstable once you look at the finished product. I feel for what this product is designed for the safety aspect should be addressed before someone gets hurt or worse. I feel after weather and possibly freeze action in the winter months would bust the assembly very quickly and render unit useless. Please research and buy the steel brackets before these. They had sent me another set and this was the replacement one. Amazon is supposed to be sending me a gift card, but I haven’t seen a confirmation from them yet, so I guess we wait lol. Buyer beware

I was looking for a solution for the porch swing I had built a few years ago which hung from my porch roof. After moving my swing sat for a year, I just hadn’t had the time to but it a frame. A quick search on Amazon I came across these. I was skeptical about how rigid they would be so I read many of the reviews before placing my order. Once they arrived I quickly ran to Menards and purchased 4 8’ 4x4’s for the legs and one 8’ 4”x6’ for the top. The kit came with all of the hardware needed for assembly. I did have to use a rubber mallet to knock in one of the legs as it was a little tight. I added a 2”x6” cross member on each side. After I set it up I was very surprised how sturdy it was and I didn’t really even need the extra bracing from the cross members I added. I did cut about 9 inches off of each leg to make the top 72” tall and cut them at an angle to make them level with the ground, but not necessarily needed. It did not come with instructions but all you need is the 4 4”x4” and one 4”x6” I purchased ground contact treat and spent about $55 at Menards. The finished product is very nice, absolutely no sway in any direction. If you’re looking for a time saver buy these. The bearings in the swing mounts are perfect for the job! The swing is absolutely silent! Thanks again Amazon.

We decided to move our cedar porch swing out into the garden, and this Heavy Duty Bracket Set was exactly what we needed. It's made of strong aluminum alloy, and includes all the bolts, washers and hangers necessary. The bronze color is very rich. With regard to ease of assembly, when we began this project, the beams we purchased were freshly pressure treated and still very wet. We had to let them dry for a few weeks, then still had to sand them down before the brackets would fit. Once we were able to assemble everything, it took us hours to attach the brackets to the top beam, then attach the legs to the brackets, drilling and screwing. Also, we used a 10 foot 4x6 beam for the top and 8 foot 4x4 posts for the legs. Once assembled, it was very unwieldly to move and didn't fit where we had planned. (That's totally on us, not the product!) Finally in place, the swing is a wonderful addition to our garden and will be standing for years to come! I can comfortably recommend this product.

Very sturdy, well made. Took a lot of prep work to get the recommended beams into the brackets. Had to chip away and sand down the ends with lots of hammering to get them into the brackets, so be ready for a workout.
