I have purchased several Abu Garcia rods in the past but I was unprepared for the lack of customer support. This one piece fishing rod broke after less than a month of light use. As instructed, I emailed photos and proof of purchase to request a replacement. I received an automated response that someone would be contacting me. After 10 days of no response, I contacted them again with the same result. I tried calling their customer service line, but was unable to ever reach them. I decided to reach out to Amazon even though the 30 day window had just closed two day previously. Amazon came through with a full refund. Thank you Amazon! I have had several Abu Garcia combos over the years, and this one is a great deal for the price. I have caught big bass and the 7’ pole is strong but still sensitive enough to feel the bites. The reel casts good and is smooth. I would definitely recommend it

This is a nice entry-level pole,, I'm not one to buy expensive fishing poles, all my poles have been Shakespeare's around $30 and I only do stream fishing, So spending the $70 was a big jump for me. The weight of this Set up, impressed me the most , It's very lite. Took this up to Lake Shasta for a week, was really impressed and satisfied with the casting/reeling. DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT get this spinning rod. The top of the rod snapped on the second use. Not worth the money at all. Broke while fishing from a pier, not even in open water. Never again buying anything from this brand.
