I just had hernia repair surgery and this is God sent! I love that It has two straps so I really feel like everything is held together. Would definitely buy again. It is very comfortable for walking around and you can wear for long periods of time. It does have a good stretch and as for size I got a 4x I believe but it still stays in place. Definitely good value for my money. I also like that it supports my back as well as abdomen.

This Belt Helps Me Do My Regular Activities Without Pain and Cramping

I purchased this belt because I am having serious gastric issues that make it difficult to use my abdominal muscles without painful cramping. This belt is so secure and although it holds me nice and tight, it moves with my body comfortably and does not restrict breathing. Two things buyers should be aware of are: the velcro is very secure which most people will benefit from, but if you have arthritis or weak hand strength and no one to help you get it off and on, you might struggle. All sizes run large. According to the size chart, I was right at the cusp of large and extra large. I would like to replace it for a Medium size to eliminate the approx. 3 inch flap of belt that if not secured is going to eventually crimp or roll and cause problems. Still worth five stars though. But a notice to buyers on the purchase page somewhere would help limit exchanges and returns. Great product!

Very sturdy, well made binder

I have been using this abdominal binder. I ordered the 2XL & it's a great size for me, as far as the length of it for going around my back & allowing me to close it. The Velcro closures are very strong! I have reduced hand strength, so it sometimes takes me a few to remove it. But it's definitely staying in place. I'm using it due to hernias which I'm treating with Castor Oil, on extra large leak proof gauze pads. I thought the 12" length would be really good for me, but I have found that it would be better if it was maybe only 10". The binder is definitely very well made, strong & supportive. It's not too bulky, except when I sit down & the extra couple inches is kinda in the way. That's the only reason I gave 4 stars. Otherwise, it's great & will likely be versatile & usable for many people with longer torsos.

Perfect for my abdominal hernia.

I have an abdominal hernia from a previous career and have had an issue trying to get it repaired. My blood pressure is too high for them to operate. To lower blood pressure naturally, the best way is through exercise. Exercising with a hernia is a delicate balance, that’s where this comes into play. It has allowed me to purposefully exercise and lower my blood pressure to normal levels while keeping my hernia in check. Only problem is that exercising regularly I have dropped weight and now need a smaller size. So I’ll have to buy a second one.

It’s ok…

I bought this because I have an umbilical hernia which has torn the abdomen wall and also created diastasis recti. When I walk around longer than 20 min, my lower back starts to hurt really bad so I got this for support until my surgical date, and to help with recovery after the surgery. It’s ok, the material is very stretchy and that’s not always a good thing. Not when you’re trying to support something! So I really wish it was a little more firm but, I can feel a difference when I take it off. Also because it’s so stretchy, I feel like I should’ve sized down that way I can make it tighter. I followed the instructions on measuring but I can’t get it as tight as I’d like. It does breath very well, and allows air to circulate in there. I don’t know if there are any other brands out there that aren’t as stretchable, but if I had to order this again? I would try to get one that provides a little more support for my condition. I can see this being a better option for after surgery because of that same reason but for now? I kinda wanted something more firm. Hope this helps.

Greatest investment I've made all year. Smooth and accommodating. Easy to use and the secondary set of Velcro straps are wonderful. I don't think you could ever over tighten the binder. Doesn't show under a shirt. The fit was spot on. I'm a big guy and for this after my back surgery where they went in from the front and back. This has been a life saver. For the support it provides, it feels strong, not bulky and breathes. Got black because most of my shirts are dark colored. I highly recommend this product. FYI, this is not a paid or endorsed review. Just my honest opinion.
