UPDATE.. LESS THAN 4 MONTH AND IT HAS TORN WHERE VELCRO ATATTCHES TARP TO FRAME. I THOUGHT IT WOULD WITHSTAND SOME WIND.. 12 MPH SHOULDNT DESTROY IT. VERRY UNHAPPY bought this for added shade for our dogs outdoor kennel. It goes up so easy. lightweight enough for 1 person to handle and maneuver. He shade cloth attaches easy breezy. I would have given 5 stars for assembly however my silly self didn't notice the legs extended twice(2). I was ducking under the sides at first which was a pain in the butt. I was soooo excited when i figured out it was actually taller. The drop down shade is perfect lenth even at halfway. The breeze can still blow thru yet out of the direct sun. It would b nice if there was a metal ring or clasp to anchor from using straps or bungee etc. on corners. So far shade cover has withheld, even in high winds. However the material is thin. Doubt it will withstand the constant use in the elements more than 1 year. PERFECT FOR OCCASIONAL USE. So glad I bought this.

I ordered the 8x8 slant leg canopy with a sidewall. For an inexpensive canopy, this one isn't bad. Pros: 1. Lightweight. It's manageable as a backpack for a big guy. 2. Easy to set up. It took me less than 5 minutes to set it up the first time, including installing the canopy itself. 3. Included sidewall. 4. Handles wind well. The picture is of the canopy set up in 20 mph winds, with no stakes. 5. Price. Cons: 1. Lightweight. That's a con as well, as it means the legs are fairly thin. The legs are also in 3 parts so the folded frame fits in the bag. I don't expect this to last but a season or 2. 2. No tie downs for the sidewall. 3. Short. I have to duck to get under it. There's a 2nd hole for both leg extensions but I couldn't get it to catch. If those holes would catch, it would add about 3" to the height. 4. Small. This really isn't a con, since I knew what I was getting. But be sure you want just a 6x6 canopy and an 8x8 footprint. As long as the price remains under $100 and you want a smaller canopy, I would recommend this.

The canopy is awesome and just the right size for our outings, but the bag has a cheap zipper area plus you have to load it all in the end of the bag and then zip closed. Would be 5 starts if bag opened on the side to lay canopy in and if the zipper was not so lightweight. We have already purchase another bag that is way too big but the one with this broke after about a month.

I set this up on my deck as I had lost my shade tree beside deck. I wanted some shade to be able to sit on deck when hot weather was in full force. It served the purpose. It was in place June through September and in late August I noticed these small tears in canvas. It has not been put up and taken down in the time referred to above. While there doesn't seem to be a warranty of any kind, I find it in poor quality and it certainly will leak if I put it back up next summer.

Overall, this a good pop up tent for the price paid. It is not top of the line but isn’t top of the line priced. There are few challenges. First there is no vent on the top or the side flap. This creates an issue in the wind as the pop up tent acts as a sail. Buying weights or sandbags for the posts is a must. These are not included with the purchase. Next, it is very difficult to get the frame and the canopy into the carrying bag. It’s just too tight. But the frame fits very nicely. And finally, the carrying bag has already ripped after one use - see picture. My hope is the seller offers a replacement bag. Despite these points, this does the job and is in line with the price point.

We take this to summer sporting events to block the Sun. It is very easy to pack and carry like a backpack. Pops up relatively easy, we did pull one leg too hard out of the socket. It does not go back in the same any more. Largest challenge was the height. We needed to duck under the cross bar to get in and out. There is enough head room to stand or seat about four people. Overall good purchase, lasted about a season for us. Will need to get something new for next year due to the leg issue.
