So, I did a ton of research and reviewing of kayak PFD’s in a similar price range and am so glad I got this one. I’ve used it about 8 times on my SUP in the past month and a half and love it! It’s so comfy that I forget I have it on. The arm holes are cut so as not to interfere with paddling and maneuvering. The built in safety whistle is handy and I like that the vest has a lash tab (I clip the whistle to it or my knife). Easy to zip up, lightweight, high viz color, and cool to wear due the the netting. I only wish it had one more lash tab and perhaps more room in the pocket but it’s one of the best small investments I’ve made for my SUP adventures. I’ll also admit: For vanity reasons, I didn’t want a bulky PFD (I know, silly) but this one is just too comfortable that I no longer care. And honestly, it’s less bulky than others and def better looking than a traditional boating PFD. Plus, the cut is short, making it not bunch up around the waist. Highly recommend! ... show more

The description says large pocket, NOT, unless youre a midget person, can barely put my fishing licence in there! Visibility VERY, lightweight, very adjustable for us big guys with a ponch, it puts the flotation in the upper part of the chest and back, keeps your head out of the water! The flotation is sheets of poly foam 3 or 4 cut to size in a nylon taffeta type fabric, the lower back is a fishnet. It has reflective tape in the back and on the front, in the upper parts out of the water. can be worn open, or closed, closed ofcourse its hot over the chest area. I sit in my bassboat seat with it on. If it lasts a few seasons...its worth 55.00 for sure! Made in China...ofcourse! ... show more

I looked that this life jacket over the winter and finally purchased before my first kayak fishing trip, it arrived the day before and i adjusted it properly. I am 5'11'' and around 170 pounds and a small fit me perfect (and I read prior reviews that stated this also, so it helped. My old vest is too bulky at the shoulders and very hot. I needed to remove it and wet it with lake water to keep myself from heating up. I don't need to do that with this vest. Plus i can actually do a headstand with it on.

Great life vest used for kayaking last weekend. Front has most of the bulk and easy to sit without riding up (due to lower back panels of mesh instead of foam) in seated kayak. Adjustable shoulder and side straps. The only downside is the lack of larger useful pockets. There is one small zippered pocket on the front that includes an attached plastic whistle.
