  • Good quality; this is my 2nd one!
Color: Dark Gray
I purchased this product and it was destroyed in a pop-up windstorm (completely my fault). I liked this canopy so well, that I purchased the exact same one using the 'order it again' button on Amazon. The canopy itself was the same, but the frame was different than the first one. The first one had sliding telescoping legs that could adjust for uneven ground; the new one, has detents in the legs and only allows for fully extended legs or completely collapsed legs. Not a huge issue, but was of note to me. I may end up using a drill to add some holes in the legs to be able to adjust them a few inches. The vents at the top are GREAT! They are adjustable, though you might need a step stool to do so if the canopy is set up already, but is easy enough to do as you set it up for each use. The vents allow for good air movement, but do not allow for a normal rain to enter. The side 'flaps' are also a huge plus. They turn the 10x10 into a 10x14 quickly. I do wish there as some sort of keeper attached so that you could roll up the flaps and secure them to the canopy when they are not needed. In a pinch, I fashioned a keeper out of sticky backed Velcro, but intend to put in grommets to do a better job. The flaps can be set at several levels as sun shades, as well. The frame is of better quality than I have found at most box stores. The instructions definitely say that 2 people are needed for set up; while this would definitely be easier, I set this up by myself often and in only a few minutes. I just have to be careful not to twist the frame. Other than the legs not telescoping, the only other downside to this specific product is the tie down 'stakes' are useless; the string is fine, but the stakes are 6" long and wouldn't do much in any kind of wind stronger than a breeze. You will definitely need more robust tent stakes if you intend to use this in windy conditions. All in all, it's still a very nice canopy; if I screw up and let the wind blow this one away again, I would likely buy another. Hopefully, I'm more careful! ... show more

  • I wanted to like this.... willing to give it a second chance...
Color: Black
The media could not be loaded. I sincerely wanted to like this awning. I cannot express my disappointment at the canopy quality and the fact that it was likely in someone else's possession before I got it. Straight out of the box, a little bit of styrofoam just smashed into all the corners gave me a bad first impression. Once I took the bag outside and laid it in the grass, I unzipped it to find that the legs had wear and tear at the bottom... dirt and scratches like crazy. One side of the canopy also had dirt on the material once I took it out of it's plastic bag. The canopy itself was terrible quality. It barely fits onto the frame, the stitching quality was just awful and in one area it was pleated where it should have been flat which not only meant that it didn't reach the side of the frame, but it also caused excess strain on the pocket seam for the support pole. It also had a defective elastic band that wasn't in the seam properly. In terms of setting this up, the directions were less than stellar. You have to disconnect parts in order to put the main part of the canopy on and it clearly outlines this step, but completely fails to mention adding the two top tiers and just how tight the top one fits in comparison to how loose the middle one is makes absolutely no sense at all. Then there's the center magnet... At times, it seemed like it wanted to go up, at times I could barely get it to budge - and I'm no slouch in terms of being able to muscle something into place... On one of my first attempts to push this into place, it literally slid off to the side instead of going into the center hole. I was able to correct this but I was not happy that the center stem that comes down to meet the part you push up should not be able to bend off center, yet it does - easily. Being that I am an average height woman, I did need a step stool (just a 4" single step) to be able to get up the the right height to have the leverage to get the top up. The biggest problem with the frame is the side panels don't lock into place very well. On two of the corners they didn't move unless you pulled the locking pin, but the other two corners a little light pressure and it would slide up and down without touching the pin at all. I included a video of this issue so you can see just how easily this occurs. Now with all that information, I still really want to make it work for me. I am hoping that these inconsistencies are a one-off and if I return and reorder that I will get a better canopy and all will be well. Once I figured out the pieces and got it together, it is exactly the style and shape I want, so I will give it a second go. Another bonus is the bag weights. They are large and velcro sealed at the tops. I tossed a couple water bottles inside just to hold the sides down while I was getting the sides together as we had a bit of wind today and the canopy didn't budge. So definitely a plus there. Overall, Pros: Style, Sturdy, Possible to put up on your own, Bag weights included, Air flow is wonderful Cons: Stitching quality, Hard to assemble the first time, Heavy, Instructions are confusing, but you can basically figure it out on your own, the locking pins aren't all tight. ... show more

  • Great Design, Questionable Durability
Color: White
The ABCCANOPY Pop up Gazebo Canopy is indeed a beautifully designed product. We’ve been using it since May, and it’s been fitting well into our outdoor space. The size is perfect and it provides ample shade, an essential for us in the sunny summer days. A standout feature has been the adjustable dual half awnings that pop up on the side, offering that extra shade when needed. However, the canopy’s durability leaves a lot to be desired. After just a couple of months of use, we have noticed a significant tear. Given the price point and the branding of the product, we expected a robust build that could stand the test of time, and unfortunately, this canopy has fallen short of our expectations. For a product of this nature, durability should be key, and having it tear so soon after purchase has been a disappointment. While the aesthetics and functionality of the canopy are commendable, the subpar material strength undermines the overall quality and value for money. Attached is a picture of the tear to illustrate the issue. Despite the promising initial impressions, potential buyers should consider the durability factor before making a purchase. Overall, while we love the design and functionality of the ABCCANOPY Gazebo Canopy, the product’s longevity is questionable. It’s a bit of a letdown, considering how well it’s served us in terms of shade and aesthetic appeal. ... show more
