  • This is good canopy, very poor customer service!!
Color: White Size: 10x10
This is good canopy tent. Very sturdy, until the screw mechanisms that hold the top expansion together fall out. The first one came out a few months after I bought the canopy, but I used a stake to keep it together and didn't worry about it too much. Then this year, a second one came out causing the one corner leg to be very unsteady. I wrote to customer service; sent them pictures and they wanted me to pay $40 for two small pieces. We went back and forth on this, via several emails, and they would only budge to offer a reduction to $30. I didn't feel I should have to pay this, even though it was out of warranty, for a canopy I originally paid $257 for. Needless to say, I will not buy my next canopy, a 10' X 15' from ABC Canopy. ... show more

  • Strong Frame, THIN Fabric
Color: black Size: 10x10
This thing is alright- better for rain than sun. Its heavy and its tall, which make it feel durable, but the canopy isn't made of thick fabric. Its black, but I can see the sun coming through- others that I owned had heavier duty fabrics for sure. The bag: who the heck designed this thing?! Its got very thin, small wheels, and only opens on the end. There is no zipper that runs the length of the bag. This means you'll need to be strong, tall, or else both to get it in and out of the bag alone. I'm 6'7" 230 and I could stand up under the second height setting (but I couldn't get it in the bag alone due to the lack of full-length zipper) ... show more

  • Very good tent, but don't expect miracles
Color: White Size: 10x10
I ordered 2 of these tents to use for Girl Scout cookie booths this winter. We ordered them because one of the locations where we set up booths is very exposed, and is often colder than the surrounding region. (For climate reference: We live in Southeastern Pennsylvania.) The tents have been used for 10 hours a day twice per weekend for the past 6 weekends. My overall assessment: These are good tents. I don't think any other tent could have handled the abuse we subjected them to better than they did. Set-up: They are pretty intuitive to set up, and they are pretty fast once you get the hang of it. After practicing, I can set one tent up alone in about 15 minutes, including all of the intense anchoring our location necessitates. Definitely plan for an hour the first time, though, and bring at least 2, preferably 4, people. Take-down: Not too difficult, as long as you do things in the right order (for example, detaching all of the wall velcro from the legs before collapsing them). Do not expect to fit the whole thing back in the bag with the roof and walls attached. It fits with some squeezing if you leave just the roof attached, but we left the walls attached, and just rolled the whole thing up in a tarp most of the time. Transportation: Completely collapsed, these tents are still 5 and a half feet tall. They will not fit in an average sedan's trunk. I drive a Prius, and I was able to fit them by folding down one of the backseats, and passing them in through the hatchback. With some maneuvering, I was able to fit both tents, all of our weights (8 sandbags and 4 Homer buckets), 12 cases of cookies, a folding table, and a child in my Prius with me. I can't believe I never took a photo of that. All those years of playing Tetris have finally paid off. Anchoring: The four little sandbags that come with this tent are not nearly sufficient. Filled with as much sand as I could shake down, they only weighed about 15 pounds each. Maybe 20 once they got wet at the first rainy booth. For reference: Most festivals require a minimum of 40 pounds anchoring each corner. We solved the weight problem by getting 5 gallon buckets and filling them with field stones from my backyard. I could have added sand between the field stones to make the buckets even heavier, but the stones got them up to 50 pounds each, so we left it at that, since not everyone can lift more than fifty pounds. We put a 50 pound bucket on each back leg, and 2 sandbags on each front leg. I wanted to just get more buckets for the front legs, but I wasn't sure how I would fit 4 more buckets in my car. We attached the anchors as follows: Tie the anchor rope through the loop on the roof corner, using a taut line knot. Tie a loop near the end of the rope, then a second loop where the end of the rope will come to when looped back up through your anchors. Connect the two loops with a carabiner. Pull down on the taut line knot until the line is taut. We used the loops at the top of the sandbags and the handles of the buckets to connect to the roof anchors. We then used a ratcheting strap to hold the buckets to the rear legs. At first, we were using the velcro to connect the sandbags to the front legs, but after several velcro straps broke off, we started just letting them hang taut from the roof anchor. Weather: We have used these tents in wind, rain, snow, and everything in between. There were even a few nice days thrown in there. They do keep the rain and snow out. They also keep some measure of heat inside. One weekend, there was snow on the ground when I set them up, and the next day, there were still two perfect squares of bare concrete where the tents had been, surrounded by snow. The biggest problem for us was wind. Even with 50 pounds on the back legs and 30 pounds on the front legs, we had to take them down on extremely windy days. There ended up being two days where we didn't even set them up, because the wind was too strong. We did find that it helped to detach the velcro strip where the wall meets the roof on windy days, to create a vent for the wind. Durability: By my calculations, these tents have had about 100 hours of use (10 hours x 10 days). They have suffered a bit over that time. A few of the damages: 1. The velcro straps ripped off of the sandbags. 2. A couple of the velcro straps ripped off where the walls meet the legs. 3. The roof was ripped in a few places where the wind blew it into a stone wall. 4. Almost all of the walls sustained rips of some sort. The one in the picture is the worst of them, where the wall got caught under the leg while it was being moved. A reinforced section at the bottom of the walls would be a really nice addition. 5. I just noticed today that one of the corner connectors (the black plastic thing that slides up and down to collapse the roof) is cracked. It is holding together right now, but it's the damage I am most worried about, because without that connector, I have no tent. ... show more

  • Customer service is a nightmare
Color: orange Size: 10x20
Super heavy but easy to set up. Had a side wall were it was ripping by the zipper which prevented us being able to zip the sidewall to the other after multiple emails with customer service and sending them pictures they were still reluctant and insisted I send them a video

  • Sturdy
Color: forest green Size: 10x20
If you are like me, you look at the price of this and cringe, especially if you are of the microbusiness variety. It is really expensive, compared to some of the others out there. I had purchased a different 10x20 tent 2 years ago, and some of the cross support pieces broke the FIRST time I set it up. Highly disappointed. Now, fast forward to purchasing this. Yes, it's heavy, the box comes in at around 120 pounds. It IS possible to set up on your own, but lets face it, this thing is a monster, and it is FAR easier with multiple people (again, 10x20. The 10x10 would probably be manageable). Let me start with the "bad" - and frankly, for that I am being super nit-picky: The support poles (2/3) have some sort of little bag that it looks like they should be in, I couldn't get them to stay in it, and I think that it ended up putting some stress on one of the seems, and I had a micro, intermittent leak during the rain. There are D-rings on the corners and I almost wish they were on the center supports as well - I need to dress up my tent for events and it would have made my life easier - again, remember I am being picky. The sides also attach with velcro clear across the top - so while it is still in good shape now, what will it look like in a year or two after the dust, dirt, mud/etc? Only time will tell. Now onto the good - The tent overall was super easy to set up. You can raise the legs so that you have the better part of 7 feet of clearance between the sway bars and someone walking into the tent. My other tents, people of the 6 foot-plus variety typically have to duck to walk in. Not so with this bad boy! The side panels not only velcro'd on, but also had zippers which I felt made the tent super secure and snug, especially when closing up for the end of the day (it was a 2-day event). The sway bars certainly did their work! We had insane wind gusts at one point (the kind that make tents fly - a couple near me started to) - I had stakes in it only (no weight) and most of the weekend the tent barely budged. At one point it started to lift, but at that point, I needed to reseat the stakes and it was fine. The last "other" tent I bought, I had to put in special cross sway bars if I thought I needed them and make sure I lined them up with the wind direction to make them work. Not so with this tent. The design is super amazing there. There are two panels that have two "extra" zippers - these make entrances into the tent, and it was AMAZING to not have to pull panels on/off to deal with the rain/closing down. It was a matter of unrolling the flap and re-zipping the panel - super nice, and super convenient! Frankly, I love this thing. I was super nervous it would turn out to be a big expensive flop. I am hoping that it continues to hold up as well as it did this past weekend when I used it. I plan on going to their main site and purchasing extra panels (more screens, possibly more door panels) to have on hand as well. I certainly look forward to using this again! ... show more

  • Great Canopy, but Lacking Expected Quality
Color: beige Size: 10x10
I bought the 10x10 version of ABCCANOPY Heavy Duty Ez Pop-up Canopy for an outdoor event, and while it has its merits, it didn't meet my quality expectations. I purchased it due to its suggested quality as I have had and seen many others like it fail. I wanted something that could last a few couple summers. On the positive side, setting it up was easy, providing good shade from the sun. However, there is no way you could hang from a cross member like in the picture. I gave a little downward pull to test the cross member and it moves and warps just like any other canopy. The product images are deceiving. The overall durability is average. The frame is ok, but the canopy material is prone to wear and tear after a few uses. If used as a freestanding structure, the canopy can still serve its purpose adequately for picnics or outdoor gatherings. Just avoid hanging it as shown in the picture. ... show more

  • Great tent but no UV protection
Color: White Size: 10x10
I do outdoor markets and I mostly stay in the booth, under my tent. This weekend was the first time using this tent in warmer, sunny weather. The product info says the tent offers 99% UV protection. After being under the tent in the shade for 7 hours, my surprise sunburn says otherwise!! Even with added sunscreen the following day and completely in the shade, I still burned a little. The tent held up beautifully in a huge windstorm that came through on Saturday anchored down with four 30lb weights, it barely moved! In terms of set up, I’m 5’3”, so going solo is a little bit of a workout. It’s *heavy* and doesn’t expand as easily as other tents. I usually have to step inside the collapsed tent and force the middle bar up in order to get it to open. If you use the pockets for sidewalls, stuffing the bag with the canopy still attached will be tricky. The bag is heavy, the tent is heavy, it’s all heavy. I found that wrapping the tent in the plastic bag it came in first helps! The storage bag will slip right on. Tl;dr: If you want to make the investment I say go for it. Just keep in mind that they’re not kidding when they say Heavy Duty, and wear extra sunscreen despite them claiming it’s uv blocking. That’s the one thing I call bs on. ... show more
