We purchased this collar for our Golden Retriever that just turned one and already weighs 100 lbs. We live in a rural area and several deer visit our apple trees and garden on a regular basis. I had purchased two different training collars in an attempt to deter our dog from chasing deer through the woods and down the road. Prior to this collar, he would just look back at me and keep running. My dog’s neck fur resembles a lion’s mane. The way this collar is designed allows him to feel the vibration and shock (which I have only had to use twice). Now he stops and turns around with my voice and the vibration mode. We’re still learning but I’m not as nervous about him running through the woods and getting lost or picked up. This collar is EXCELLENT! I would definitely give it five stars.

I was hesitant on purchasing this collar for my 120 lb Rottweiler puppy. He had gotten so big so fast I could not control him. I have talked to my sister who has a St. Bernard. She said she has a training collar for her dog and swore that it made a world of a difference in training. I broke down and purchased one. I have only ever had to use the shock on him once. I usually just use the sound or the vibration mode and he knows to do what he is told to do. I like that there is different settings for the sound, vibration and the shock mode. You can lock the remote so you don’t accidentally shock your dog which is a plus because I have no intentions on using the shock mode. The battery life for the collar and remote lasts almost a week. The charging cord that came with it can charge both collar and remote at the same time. I would recommend a training collar especially if you do have a big dog.

The design is very good. The features and buttons are really good and I'm happier with it than the other two remote collars that I've used and I will keep using it. I've removed the contacts to use only as a vibrating collar now, but I've used the shock portion for some earlier important aversion training. I like that you can remove the contacts to use just vibrate and tone. There are no posts after removing the contacts. One note, it is common for these collars to maintain the shock or vibrate continuously when you hold the button. This model pulses the shock/vibrate. I have no idea if this might be better or worse for getting your dog's attention, but the training manual says continuous and that's what other collars do, so it could be a negative. Overall, very impressed with the electronics, the screen, the build quality, the collar and attachments, the battery life, and all the important stuff.

I cannot change my opinion on my original review, however the immediate feedback from the seller was top notch and helped to improve my overall experience. The seller will try to make it right and that is a provide confidence when buying from them. Easy to use but... 1) the tone isn't very loud. If our dog is more than 15' away, we don't know if it is working 2) the shock feature works but the prongs aren't long enough to get through his long hair / coat. There are 2 sets of connectors that come with the collar however neither are long enough to penetrate the coat of our pom and it has almost cost him his life on no less than 3 different occasions because he simply CANNOT feel it. This is a MAJOR shortfall in what otherwise seems to be a solid product. Until this is fixed, I WOULD NOT recommend this product.

I used the Abbidot 3300 e- collar and found it worked well. I wanted to stop my dog from “ foraging “ when we walked off leash. I used only the vibration mode and she needed the highest setting. That level felt just like a strong, old fashioned pager. It wasn’t painful but it was just irritating and surprising. I’m not sure it worked for 3000+’ because sometimes I couldn’t tell if she got the pulse and was ignoring it (chasing a squirrel) or she wasn’t getting the pulse. The vibration is not THAT uncomfortable so I used it very sparingly so she wouldn’t get used to it. However it did help most of the time. It did seem to distract her enough so she had to stop eating in order to shake her head and try to stop the irritating vibration. Then she was able to pay attention to my voice command. A friend used it to stop her dog from taking off in order to chase a squirrel. But he got used to it very quickly, was no longer bothered or startled and stopped paying attention to it. It helped with leash reactivity because again it startled her enough that she’d stop barking long enough so I could verbally correct and train further. I doubt it would work on a dog that is aggressively leash reactive unless they were very sensitive to the vibration. I found the remote and collar stayed charged for months. The remote display was hard to read at times but it did program according to the very helpful directions. There is a digital lock between the vibration mode and electrical shock mode. They also provide rubber tips for the metal shockers so I felt very secure with those in place that I wouldn’t accidentally shock her. I’m buying another one as I lost the remote for the one I have. For the price and my dog’s needs it worked well.
