After a week of once-a-day use, I can say it makes marvelous ice cream with no need to prefreeze parts. The stay-cool feature is a bit too eager; the ice cream freezes rocklike if left in the machine after it finishes, but that's better than melting, and it doesn't form ice crystals. Easy to clean. A reasonable alarm sounds notifies you when churning is done. Throw out the recipe book, however. It's designed for people who think ice milk is too fatty, for some reason.

It takes four or 5 button presses to actually turn on. DUUHHH I wanted to eat ice cream but we misunderstood what the start/stop button. It starts the process! This thing is loud. Louder than an 'on' microwave.

I really like ice cream so when I purchase this machine, I was really looking forward to some great ice cream. Turns out this machine makes great ice cream. I bought this as well as frost line, frozen dessert powder and after consulting the Internet I learned that I can make really great frost line frozen dairy ice cream in my machine using milk, heavy, whipping cream, and frost line dairy dessert powder. It’s delicious and highly worth it. It also makes a really great Dole Whip.

Purchased this product for myself. The delivery and packaging was acceptable and timely. The capacity is a little small, but this keeps me from over eating. The quality of the ice cream is great. I've used the recipe that came with the product, and wished there were more that I could experiment more recipes. I love the ease of use and how quick the freezing process works. Remember to take our the "turner" has soon as the machine beeps so it won't be hard to pull out as the freezing ice cream around it. I like its functionality because it doesn't take much to push a button. It's large and takes up a lot of counter space.

The instructions are really particular about how to cycle power, how to clean the bowl and not use it wet or it will freeze to the machine. Not idiot proof. Perfect for non-idiots. Otherwise, it feels downright decadent to have ice cream on a 45 minute whim! Love it!
