I just finished helping my sister install this rack on her pickup truck topper. The powdercoat is very well done, the racks are sturdy and well made and the hardware is high quality. There are even extras in case you lose a bolt. Directions are minimal but not necessary, as the installation is basic and obvious to anybody who has ever used a drill and a wrench before. I ordered a set of 3 truck Van,Cartop racks. I installed them on a ARE 8' Truck Canopy. A set of 3. To displace the weight across the canopy. These are light duty racks. They are not made to hold a-lot of weight. One thing I noticed right off they do come with a plate to install on the inside of the roof skin. I bought a extra aluminum 1" square tube that I installed across the Roof ribs on the inside of the roof to distribute the weight. Otherwise the racks will sit directly on the roof skin. And most likely will damage the roof skin. I also used boat bedding compound under the rubber mounts on the racks to better waterproof and hold the racks in place . Locate the width of the racks first. Then attach the extra tubing inside the roof first before you mount the racks. Then Drill through the extra tubing to mount the rack using the carriage bolts included. And also use the steel plates. You may need a spacer between the new tube and the roof skin. Use Caulking here also. This will help to stiffen the racks to carry loads on. If you don't add the extra stiffener you may dent your roof of your canopy. Another way is to mount a long piece of 3/8" or 1/4" thick x3" wide x long length of Canopy piece of aluminum . Along were the racks mount outside on the roof embedded in boat bedding compound. Then Dill through this to mount your racks this will help also. Good luck. They are not to bad for the cost. Come with Tues on them. ... show more

Oddly sized and proportionate. Height is noticeably too tall verses standard roof racks. Installation was fine and worked to carry kayaks. Took off and replaced with others due to esthetics
