I purchased this hybrid battery pack June 2021, I am 71 years old and I am unable to lift more than 40 pounds. With that said, I was able to install this 80 pound plus battery into my 2008 Toyota Prius without assistance from others by using some simple materials around my house and common mechanics tools. Before I purchased and installed this battery I viewed a number of YouTube videos to see how it is safely done. One of these videos made by a young man showed him doing the job in under 15 minutes, needless to say I was impressed. It took me three days due to rain, actual work was about four hours for me. Aside from minor maintenance of tires, light bulbs, oil changes and two 12 volt starter battery replacements, my Prius ran without trouble for 13 years. The replacement hybrid battery is made from refurbished nickel metal hydride battery cells that are balanced and matched and a case enclosure to make a complete unit. I do not expect this battery pack to last 13 years as a new more expensive battery pack might, but it should provide my Prius many years of serviceable use. After the installation was complete the Prius started with a push of a button. My OBD2 scanner showed that there were no error codes and all systems were functioning as they should. I have driven the Prius for six months now and the battery pack charges to 90% at it’s fullest. If you own a Prius and have a modicum of mechanical experience and can follow instructions you can replace this hybrid battery pack. My Prius has been abused by the world around me, it has been broken into and glass replaced many times, rear ended many times, side swiped over and over, head light assemblies replaced, tail light assemblies replaced, mirror assemblies replaced many times. Other drivers have been trying to do the Prius in. I don’t know where the bull’s eye is on the car, perhaps it was because I lived in Baltimore MD, but the Prius just keeps going. All together I am very pleased with the refurbished battery pack, the battery was delivered swiftly and well packaged. I can whole heartedly recommend this product. The dealer wanted more than $8,000 to do the job, more than the book value of the car, I spent much less and I can expect many more years of use of the Prius. ... show more

Exactly as promised. It works great! Update: Nine months of hard use. Works perfectly! They will treat you well even if it’s something that’s not their fault. My bad, the little switch (service, disconnect) wasn’t slid downward, for extra locking (needs final stroke). Update one year: Working perfectly.
