Had our first camping trip with this cooler and very impressed! We were able to fit way more in the cooler since we didn’t have to have room for ice. We plugged it in ahead of time,filled it, and then drove 4 hours. Everything was still cold when we got there. I left it set on the coldest temperature but quickly learned how well it works and had to prior the lid to let things thaw out. After adjusting the temperature it worked perfectly. Also didn’t notice much temperature change when we had to open it to get stuff out. It runs fairly quietly.

Bought this for a 2 week cross-country road trip. Opened box and started set-up - super easy. I did not know it came with the battery and the instructions don’t have much info on battery use. It will be plugged into the car or the electrical outlet most of the time but I will rely on battery while out on excursions so it will be interesting to see how it holds up / maintains temperature. Overall it seems like a great piece.

The cigarette lighter plug worked for 5 minutes Then no more Plug worked fine. Unit worked perfectly with AC power. I used a cig lighter plug with plugs for USB plug. Cooler has a USB plug. I connected that way as a workaround. Voltage was only 4.8 volts thst way so I have no idea if that will work. Cooler reaches freezing temps quickly..I have the 21 qt size.. perfect for the car

60W. So that's a 5A draw at 12V, that should be within spec of most 12v accessory sockets inside of vehicles. This is on high power, in ECO mode it draws a little less, but then the compressor is going to run longer. Maybe good for finicky power outlets. This thing has a longer term operation angle of 5 degrees and short term of 45 degrees as per the manual. It also says to allow it to sit upright for 6 hours before use. So store it upright and don't use it immediately after receiving since you don't know how it was oriented in the delivery truck. Did a test of it cooling down a 12 pack of cans. Starting at 74F I turned it on via the AC power adapter. It took about 5 hours to completely cool the center of the group of cans. Seems acceptable to me. The insulation on this unit is fine. I can for sure feel that the outside temp of the unit is cooler than ambient, so it's letting some heat in, but they only have so much room to work with so it can't be as efficient as a crazy rotomolded cooler. All in all I'm pretty happy with it. It should make road trips much better. No more instances of food falling into the water of the cool and getting soggy, now I just have a portable fridge/freezer! I did test it down to -4F and it froze ice cubes overnight no problem.
