This book arrived on time, and the packaging was perfect so no damage to the book before my students ever touched it. The text rhymes and is certainly different as the main character wants to dance with Santa! Fun little book!

We tend to absolutely love Sandra Boynton. Unfortunately, this book won't be making it on our shelf, as it does not fit with our religious needs. That being said--if you are a fully secular family, looking for what makes Christmas great, without an emphasis on religion & Jesus and with taking an emphasis OFF of presents, this book is GREAT for you. The little, adorable bunny rabbit is wishing for dancing with Santa for Christmas. He says he does not need any presents, just a minute or two of Santa's time. He is *thrilled* when he gets this wish and exclaims that this is THE BEST CHRISTMAS EVER. Unfortunately, that line ruins the book for us, as we believe Jesus' birth was (obviously) the best Christmas ever. Cute, the illustrations are on par, and my children would love the book, but I am not sure it will work for us. ... show more

Another great Sandra Boynton book! I love how fun and festive this book is. It was a great holiday read for my kids. Boynton has such a great gift with words and melody and this is no different than her other books. The illustrations are classic Boynton. I do appreciate having a larger Boynton book in hardcover as most of our books are small board books. Now my kids are older so this is a much more appropriate format for Sandra Boynton book for their age. Definitely makes a great holiday gift for kids and fans of Sandra Boynton. ... show more

I hadn't been familiar with the author beforehand, and my kids and I found this book a decent read. I would say that everything is "okay." The art (which has a look consistent with the cover) is nice but hardly groundbreaking or stunning, the words rhyme and have a decent meter but don't have that mesmerizing quality of the very best kids books, and the plot idea of dancing with Santa is a little different. It's a short kids book, one you finish in just a few minutes. My kids liked reading it but I don't know how much they'll want to return to it. All and all it's a decent use of a few minutes but I'm not sure it's a must-buy. ... show more
