As someone who dabbles in radios, I have a lot of extra antennas, chargers, cables, adapters, and other radio equipment. On a gentle suggestion of my wife, I realized that I needed a box to hold my stuff, lest she collect it all and relocate it to the sidewalk. This isn't a heavy duty toolbox, first of all. I would not recommend putting 20-30 lbs of tools in here, or hurling it around in the back of a truck. However, it is sturdy enough to hold lighter electronics. The overall size is fine for antennas, even my longer 18 inch ones. The two panels on the top are great for things you would need on the fly - such as smaller adapters or radio programming cables. The latch closes securely. The holes to put a padlock on the box are, in my opinion, kind of silly. Only a very small lock would fit in there, and to be honest, even with a sturdy padlock, you could probably stomp on this box to split it open. But hey, for the price, it's exactly what I needed: An inexpensive organizer for electronic equipment. ... show more

Great toolbox for the price. Could nit ask for more from a plastic box. This is the first thing in the past 5 years that didn't completely let me down from the brand. The first thing I noticed was the thickness of the latches. Which is was sturdy in comparison to similar boxes, even more expensive boxes. Note: This is for the red box with the small bins on top. The tool boxes in this Amazon listing are not all equal. That's the problem with listing numerous items under one ad. Plastic is fairly thick and rubbery (not brittle). The locking latches work well. The small cases on the cover snap down sufficiently but do not lock. The tray fits securely in place. The top handle is textured with deep lines to help the hand grip well. I won't be taking this out of the house so it's perfect for me. I have a metal tool box that I've had for over 40 years and will be passing it on to my kids. I wanted a second box for the tool I use most often so I don't have to dig through those tools I rarely use. Overall not a bad tool box. The hinge looks like the weak spot but this box at least has a metal pin to hold the hinge in please. Recommended ... show more

My old tool organizer broke. Many choices on Amazon, but I wanted the same size like the old one, not too big or heavy, just enough to carry it around holding essential tools, nails, screws, etc. I am happy with it in general. I like the design and the size, but it would be better if the top can be open all the way to the back so it doesn’t close on my hand without constantly holding the top to keep it open. This is a good and strong plastic tool box. No it does not have the feel of the metal Craftsman tool boxes but it does its job very well. The good thing about this tool box is that it is very light. When you put your tools in it, the only weight is that of your tools, not the tool box.

I needed this toolbox to organize all my screwdrivers and miscellaneous small tools that I may need to use around the house and it will serve its purpose, but I was a little disappointed that it was very lightweight plastic and not even a sturdy closure, but hopefully it won’t come open when carried
