  • Terrific nonstick properties
I'm very happy with this set of cookware. The nonstick properties are excellent and I also like the non-stick texture; it seems rugged and like it will last rather than peel up (however, of course like with any nonstick cookware, do not use metal utensil -- use plastic, nylon, silicone, wood, etc). I have some expensive cookware that is supposed to last "forever," but the nonstick surface started peeling way too soon, even though I treated it very carefully. The nonstick texture on this cookware seems much more durable. As far as the other parts of these pots and pans, I love the polished stainless steel exterior. It just looks so sleek, shiny and professional. The "tri-ply" bottom layer is something I can't really see, but this cookware does heat up quickly and evenly so it does its job well. Another excellent feature is that this cookware can withstand being in the oven up to 500 degrees as I have several recipes in my usual meal rotation that start on the stovetop but require finishing in the oven. I love the convenience of being able to pop the pan in the oven rather than having to transfer it to a baking dish. I assume the glass lids should not go in the oven, though, but I'm not sure. I do love the glass lids because they let me watch my food as it cooks. This seems like a small thing, but it is incredibly helpful. The lids each have a steam hole, which is also a sign of quality. I accidentally dropped the largest lid on our concrete floor, and braced myself for shattered glass, but it actually gave a slight bounce and the glass lid was not affected at all. The two smaller pots are convenient sizes for making rice, cooking ramen, heating up soup, making sauces, and smaller jobs like those. I love the large pot because it is a generous 5.2 quarts in size, but it's a manageable size that isn't huge like my 20-quart stock pot, which just too large for most things other than quadruple batches of soup or gumbo, using for a crab boil, etc. This 5.2 -quart size is much better for everyday cooking, like making chili or chicken and dumplings for our family of four; it's large enough that we still have plenty left over. It's also not so oversized that it is difficult to store. Overall, a sturdy, quality set that heats evenly, is a good weight, is made of shiny stainless steel with non-stick interiors, has glass lids with vent holes, stay-cool handles, and can go in the oven up to 500 degrees. I'm very happy with this cookware. ... show more

  • Made Some Tasty Stuff with These, Want a Taste?
My Ramblings We love us some home cooking and probably do it way more than the average family, so bigger, better, basting, boiling, & broiling works for us. So Let's take a closer look at these here pots and pans. To the Point or TL;DR Lightweight. Steam holes in see through lids help keep boil over down. Cooked on stuff cleans off easily with nylon brush or cloth (plus dishwasher safe, tested). Goes from browning on top of stove to, baking in oven (which we really like). Cooks evenly, no hot spots. I'm cooking with gas, Large 5.2qt Pot handles will get hot, but others are stay cool. Raised non-stick not really compatible with metal utensils. Really nice, solid metal (I know) ladle. Comes with a couple of silicon pot stands. The Good Stuff There are a lot of things we like about these. Definitely the stove top to oven ability, and don't get me wrong, I personally like the easy of cleaning. Sometimes I'm too lazy or tired to hand wash, so into the dishwasher it goes without concern. Truly enjoy the clear tops and steam hole. Now I can simmer at the bleeding edge of boil over with a whole lot less watching, stirring, or adjusting temp. And the 5.2qt is my favorite. Allows me to make a large batch of beans, chili, lentil or potato soup that will last 2 days when feeding all our hungry mouths. Overall, happy. The Meh Stuff Every pot comes with an individual bag to store it in, if you want. Or maybe it is for gifting out of the box, or I don't know. Just saying that if you are using these pots like I do, I don't have time to insert and remove daily. But they are nice. The Bad Stuff That funky cool non stick bottom makes uses metal utensils like chewing aluminum foil on metal fillings or scratching a chalk board (spine chilling). Definitely for wood, bamboo, silicon based utensils only, or don't scrap bottom like me. Who May Use/Like It Anyone wanting a good, throw in dishwasher, easy to work with pot. Me Final Thoughts I don't know if I will get over the raised non-stick bottoms. They work, but that metal business, rakes on my nerve. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. Hope it helps!
