I ordered as a gift. The container was as described but the Bonsai “tree” was a twig. I emailed my concerns and they kindly sent another in a different container but it was even smaller and still pretty scraggly looking. I would NOT recommend buying again if you want a real Bonsai tree. Disappointed because I know it was supposed to be an older plant. ... show more

Has a few brown needles which makes me nervous but it has a nice shape so I'm hoping for the best. Not quite as full as picture/ Wish there had been some directions included. Planter is very nice as are the rocks.

This was one of the worst, and possibly the last, bonsai I will ever order via Amazon in general and this manufacturer, 9GreenBox, in particular. What arrived in the shipment box is an unsightly twig that has nowhere near the maturity of the juniper bonsai shown in the marketing photo. In addition, the "plant" arrived in a polymer type pot, not a ceramic, one as promised. Although the soil and multitude of unnecessary tiny stones were wrapped in an excessive amount of tape, the plant itself was not protected enough, nor was there any indication which part of the box was top or bottom. Thus, the plant's tiny top was under pressure during shipment and several of the branch ends were already brown and dead upon arrival. This could have potentially been sold as a starter plant for $7, but certainly not as a full blown bonsai totaling $33. Absolute ripoff. ... show more
