Description

Golden pothos is a popular house plant well known for its long, trailing stems that can grow to 8 ft (2.4 m) or more. A tree-climber in its native tropical habitat, this plant has aerial roots that can be trained to climb a moss stick or trellis. It’s glossy, heart-shaped leaves emerge green and become variegated with yellow or white. Although this plant tolerates low light well, its leaves may lose their variegation. It will look its best in moderate or bright light. It makes an excellent office plant because it grows well under fluorescent lights. Place in a Well-draining potting mix. Feed every 2 weeks with houseplant fertilizer, once a month in winter.

  • Pretty good plant for the price
Its pretty convenient that I can purchase a live plant on amazon. I ordered this one and it came several days ahead of schedule. it came in a small brown box, and inside there was packing peanuts and the plant. The growers put some masking tape on top of the soil so it doesn't fall out during delivery and the plant is in a plastic bag too. The plant that I received was only about half the size of the one in the picture but this didn't really bother me very much since I can obviously just grow it larger. The plant looked very healthy when it arrived, the soil was dry to the touch but the plant didn't seem to mind at all. I just watered it a little bit and put it by the window. I'm planning on growing it a bit and then cutting parts of it to use for water propagation in a vase. ... show more

  • The pothos was almost frozen.
The plant was much smaller than the picture. It was so cold I didn’t think it would live. With the large shipping cost, it should’ve been shipped in a better container.

  • Surprisingly, My plant arrived is great shape.
This was a gamble for me. I have never ordered a live plant online. Surprisingly, my beautiful, thriving, Golden Devil's Ivy arrived in pristine condition. I live in Houston, TX and the day of arrival it was almost100 deg F., so yeah, I'm impressed. I will continue ordering my house plants from 9GreenBox. ... show more

  • Alive but Barely
This little baby arrived alive, but huddled in a corner of the pot in a weakened condition. I am still not sure of the prognosis. I would like to move it to another pot with a “friend” but I am afraid it would be its demise. It is so small… I expected a hardier looking plant. It is nothing like the pictured plant. ... show more

  • Dramatic Plant Mom Story ahead
I purchased this plant over a year ago and have been meaning to review it if there was any success. This was practically the first rooted plant I’d ever gifted myself. I love having fresh flowers around the house but I wanted something to call mine. I wanted to nurture, love, tend to, and raise my own plant. I was ready to take the next step into my womanhood... to become a Plant Mom. I was broke, but desperately needed a beautiful plant. Plants clean the air, they’re good for your mental health, and plants are refreshing to have in any house. I moved twice a year to anywhere and with anyone because that’s just how Craigslist arrangements work. So yes, I NEEDED this plant. I needed one stable thing in my life. Now, considering this was an Amazon plant, I didn’t expect it to last long. I didn’t even expect it to arrive in one piece. I expected it to be mangled on its last limb, soil everywhere in the box. But I was dedicated. I prepared myself. And, truthfully I chose to get an Amazon plant because if it died or rotted on my behalf, I wouldn’t feel so guilty or terrible because I spent just a few bucks on it. I was wrong about it all. This seller sent it in flawless condition. Packaging was on point (I have no idea where the sellers are located, maybe they’re in CA or Oregon and I got lucky) and it came with care instructions. It’s foliage was full and vibrant. Stems stronger than the marines. I loved this vine instantly. For the first 4-5 months I just left it in the plastic generic pot it came in, although the directions clearly said to repot it. I was broke, they were fine. They’d live to see another day. Many days actually. I saw significant growth in the first few months, and they didn’t give a damn what pot or soil they were in - they made sure to ROOT. They rooted like hell, I tell ya. The foliage took over the tiny pot that they arrived in and eventually I finally placed them in a bigger pot and changed the soil. From that day forward they have thrived like Kaiser. My beautiful plant has progressed so gracefully in the last year. She’s moved with me 3 times, has been there for me while ending one bad breakup and transitioning into a better one, and she’s my pride and joy every day. I will never give up on my plant. Sellers, thank you for giving me the chance to be a Plant Mom. I’ve since been inspired to become a Mother to 5 more plants, and she is by far still my favorite, most special one. ... show more

  • Very disappointed!
Very disappointed in the plant I received. Many wilted and yellow leaves. I'm not sure it will even live. Not worth the price I paid. The shipping cost more than it is even worth.

  • Cute little plant
I’ve had this little plant about a month now, and its doing really well! I bought it as a gift to myself for landing a nice office job, and it’s been so nice watching it grow slowly. As of right now, it’s sprouting 3 little leaves! I water it once every 7-10 days and put a portable plant light on it once a work week, and it seems to be doing really well! ... show more

  • A Few More Leaves Would Have Been Nice
The plant arrived in good condition, and the couple of leaves that were sent were nice and full and healthy. Based on the photo that was used in the listing, however, we were expecting several smaller leaves rather than the couple of large leaves that arrived. The air root was not fully submerged in the soil, too, but that didn't seem to hurt the plant. I'm sure that in a few months, it will grow into a multi-leaf plant, so that's the more important factor, I guess. ... show more
