This mixer is much larger my previous mixer. I was very suprised at how easy it was to set up and start using. 8 quarts is a large size and plenty of room for anything I make. My old mixer had some strain when doing large batches of cookies, and this one mixed the dough with no issues at all. I love the topper feature that keeps ingredients inside the bowl when mixing. You can actually add flour into the bowl without it getting everywhere. That was a huge pet peeve of mine, but I no longer have to worry about that. The mixer has enough speed levels to mix most of the cakes & cookies I make. It has simple controls, yet looks and feels advanced with the digital readouts. I love how this mixer is affordable and easy to use. Definitely worth the purchase.
