I’ve put together Ikea furniture that was more complicated. This was well built, nicely packed and relatively easy to assemble. You should be mechanically inclined and patient. Don’t force any of the bolts and screws. I made a mistake on the very last piece - the backing panel of the cage and forced 4 of the bolts and they went in crooked. I had to drill the riveted nuts out so I just need to replace them with some of my own. Can’t wait to fire it up. I’ll probably order the wheels as it’s very cumbersome to tilt and roll. I live in Vegas where winters can get in the 30s and 40s. I don’t want to have tanks of propane laying around so pellets are probably 1/4-1/5 the cost of propane. The heater is elegant and will be a great addition to our patio. ... show more

Overall I'm happy with the Lil' Timber but I do have to say it's very susceptible to blowing over unless you purchase the weighted plate accessory. i"m not in a particularly windy area and mine blew over three times in the first two months. It cracked my bird bath one of the times. Then I purchased the safety cage and the weighted plate and it hasn't blown over in the last six months. The plate really should be included in the product package. That's the reason for my two star review. I would have given it five stars if the plate had shipped with the product. Also use a couple of Stainless Steel Hose Clamps when you assemble, much easier than screws. ... show more

Great product! We use primarily under our deck so we shortened the stove pipe by one section. It still puts out plenty of heat to warm our patio. Looks great, zero smoke and starting takes seconds. Assembly went perfect and you can really see their attention to detail. I reached out to them with a couple questions regarding how I will use the Lil Timber and they responded immediately. The Big Timber is legit and extremely well built here in the USA. Assembly was a breeze, it looks great, and the heat output is something I’m overly impressed with. If you’re looking for a patio heater that actually produces heat you feel from a distance, you can’t go wrong here.

We purchased our Big Timber heater this spring and love it! The folks who make these in Mt. Angel Oregon are so helpful. The heater makes using our outdoor space so much more enjoyable. The workmanship is amazing, it just a beautiful piece. Be sure to get a list of recommended pellets for optimum heat and alcohol gel is super handy to get the pellets going. ... show more

I’m a firm believer that fires bring people together… BUUUUUUUUUT, let’s face it - the smoke and constant need to adjust makes it a bit of a hassle when you’re wanting to stop being the host and join the fun. The Big Timber was such an easy set up and kept our backyard shindig going all night. Being in Oregon, nights get cold and propane heaters are nice but they only heat up a small area… The Big Timber had everyone around it warm and became such a center piece of our party. I highly recommend this product and will update this review after another month or two of using it. ... show more

Our power went out during an ice storm in the winter and this thing absolutely came in handy. Everyone had generators, but all the neighbors came by our house to warm up from the generous heat this bad boy provided.
