I would feel much better about the price were the whole thing made of stainless steel -- unfortunately, it's made from what feels like cheap plastic. I suspect the manufacturer is reaping a huge profit per unit. Also, the cord is really too short. But man can these things move a lot of air, and quietly. I installed one each in my bathroom and in my kitchen, and they're doing a fantastic job. I installed both in windows, somewhat haphazardly; the form factor lends itself to window mounting slightly better than a simple box fan would, but only slightly. Using as window fan. I sealed off the open area on the sides. Great because I do not have to take it out if it is raining, I leave it on or turn it off and the flaps close. So far so good. Can only hope it lasts for a few years.
