I have a bunch of glass storage jars that use this size & shape of gasket. They all came with rubber gaskets. Now, ten years later, the glass jars are still perfect but all of the rubber gaskets are hard and brittle and don't seal well. These gaskets fit those jars. They're slightly thicker than the original gaskets, but not thick enough to be a problem. They're softer, so they give a better seal than the original gaskets. Since silicone rubber lasts so much longer than regular rubber they should last a long time. Very happy with these.

These replacement canister seals fit well and look good. The old seals became brittle and cracked. The new seals are soft, pliable and seem to be well made. They should last for years. Different colors are available so you don't have to get the orange ones. Thankfully there are no VOC orders associated with this type of plastic seals.
