The mirror finish on these knives is flawless, and the handles are beautiful and comfortable to hold. Size: 3.5 inch paring knife
I bought the 3.5" paring knife and the 7" Santuko to replace an old, well used set. These are the two style knives I use on a daily basis in my kitchen. Beautiful knives, extremely sharp with the VG10 center layer and they will probably last forever... Well priced when they wanted to get rid of old stock. BUT Do they have to be so bulky? The blades are much thicker than others, and the handle fills my XL hands to the degree that it was difficult to make fine incisions. They are also quite heavy overall and that is a safety concern for me. These may work for some, but sadly I had to return them.

The knives are beautiful to look at but not so wonderful to use. They are moderately sharp out of the box and would benefit from a touch up on a good honing stone. A bit disappointing. They are definitely hammered, but I don't think they are truly folded steel (i.e., Damascus). Made in China, in case anyone was wondering.
