So we incubated 8 eggs in this, only 1 of which was a successful hatch. We struggled to keep it humid enough. When we used water bottles they either didn’t empty or they ended up flooding the bottom of the incubator and 2 of our hatches drowned. We are trying another round manually adding water regularly and may put a wet towel in the bottom after we move to lock down phase? In hope that it will keep it humid enough. Also! Because the bottom of the incubator was plastic and had no grip and the one egg that actually hatched ended up developing splay legs because it couldn’t stand which I had to correct with a home made hobble. Hopping putting the wet towel in the bottom also fixes this issue. ... show more

Love this! Was exactly what I was expecting and it works wonders I hatched quail eggs. 14 out of 17 hatched. The only things I noticed that I would change or wasn't up to par is the top cover could be more clear. Seems a little cloudy. And the eggs didn't fit in the egg slots very well on the quail tray. ... show more

This is a decent little incubator but honestly there are better ones out there. The quality for the price seems decent. It heats up quickly and once you figure it out, doesn't take much to put it together. Because it's a cheaper incubator you don't get a lot of the helpful attributes. The instructions are horrible and are very limited so it's difficult to figure out. There were extra pieces that I have no idea what they are for because the kit doesn't even mention them. There's no way to determine the humidity levels and so they are hard to monitor. The humidity levels are controlled via gravity flow water so they aren't really accurate. The egg turner works nicely and I appreciate the different eggs size trays. For the price it's not bad but if you are new to egg hatching and want a cheaper method to do it to start out, this is very complicated and you will probably struggle to be successful. ... show more

This is a great incubator, it comes with everything you need to use it - except for the soda bottles pictured. I don't drink soda very often, so I don't have soda bottles lying around, making that a bit of an inconvenience. Another thing is that the incubator dome is oddly dirty inside, and it also seems to have some kind of scrapes inside it. Inside the box, the parts were loose inside the dome, and I imagine it would get shaken about during shipping, so perhaps that's what caused it. It's not a big deal as it doesn't affect the functionality, but just kind of unexpected since it's supposed to be a new product. Overall, it comes with nearly everything you need, and it's pretty easy to setup and use. It includes a manual that explain how to use the controls and read the display.
