So I’ll get straight to the point. I bought this cause it was the cheapest portable AC I could find on Amazon. I was worried it wasn’t going to work because there was only 2 reviews. One bad one good. I have been running it a couple days and it’s awesome. Cools down the room pretty quick. I gave it 5 stars for the cooling cause that’s its main function. But there are a couple drawbacks. Not too quiet but not loud either. I have a horizontal sliding window and the exhaust vent does extent to match the height but doesn’t make a good seal with the window. I need to mess with the foam strip that came with it, and probably put some insulation tape around it. Also the exhaust hose is not that easy to adjust. It’s really stiff. Once I got it curved and extended I couldn’t move the unit that much without it trying to come out from the window. I may buy a more “softer” hose that bends better. Other than all that it works great. I will update if it stops working before 30 days. ... show more

The shorter and straighter you keep the hose, the better it performs. I have mine up on small stand near the window. The fan can only push the hot exhaust so far and having it sitting on the floor vs elevated makes a huge difference.

This is a very cheap air conditioner. I wish I would have spent $50 more and got an air conditioner that cooled the space. It throws cool air not cold, and the exhaust hose has melted in spots. Cheap and thin hose and not user friendly for sure. So don’t waste your money!!
