I had to return this item because the quick release mechanism was slightly small and would not accept standard plates of the same type and size that my other tripods accept readily. It only accepts the plates that came with the tripod. If this is the only tripod you will ever have, this might not be a problem for you, but I didn't want that situation because I have 3 tripods all of which can accept the same plate. It is a nice little tripod, though in other respects. I would have kept it if not for this. One other thing that I didn't notice when I ordered it: it does not have a crank to raise or lower the extension. This would be ok with me for a smart phone, which is relatively light, but it might be awkward for a standalone DSLR camera because of the weight

This actually works very well. A lot are more expensive but this one was perfect price point. I just went camping and this helped a lot while I captured photos of wildlife and the stars

I got this tripod to replace an older one I had that was starting to fall apart. This one seems pretty nice overall, its easy to work with, it feels fairly durable and I expect to get at least a few years out of it with the light general usage I'll be giving it. It feels sturdy enough with decent weight for its size and I had no issue adjusting it or getting my Canon camera attached to it. I'm not a professional photographer, I'm a hobbyist so I can't speak to how well it would hold up to rigorous daily use, but but for me, it's been fine so far and I expect it'll be fine for a long while.
