Works as described. Good for everything needed for backyard builds and I assume would work in any fabrication shop just fine. For the money, you can't beat it. Pull it out of the box and go.

I recently picked up this 4-1/2 Inch Angle Grinder for some maintenance work around the property, and it has proven to be a very capable tool for the price point. Effective Performance: It does exactly what it's supposed to do. I primarily used it for rust removal, and it handled the job without any issues. The 10-amp motor provides plenty of power for standard tasks. Variable Speed: The variable speed control is a fantastic feature at this price level. It allows for much more precision when switching between grinding, polishing, and cutting different materials. Generous Accessory Pack: I was impressed that it comes with a bunch of accessories right out of the box, including various wheels. It’s nice to have everything you need to get started immediately. Comfortable Handling: The auxiliary handle is non-slip and does a decent job of being shockproof, which definitely helps reduce hand fatigue during longer projects. While it might not be a heavy-duty industrial machine, it is a good tool for the price and perfect for home projects or shop maintenance. If you need a reliable grinder for rust removal or general metal work that won't break the bank, this is a solid choice and very easy to use.

Angle Grinder The Verging VG5030A 4 1/2" angle grinder is a corded, brushed motor, variable speed power tool. It weighs 3.64 lb. This is significantly less than my identically configured 5.16 lb. Black & Decker Firestorm. Both are 4.5" capacity angle grinders. So the Verging would be less fatiguing to use. Included are a instruction manual, and a set of extra motor brushes. Also included is a wheel guard and spanner wrench for changing disks. Accessories included are: 2 each grinding wheels, cut-off wheels, flap-sanding disks, and a cup-shaped brass-wire wheel. A side handle is included that can be screwed into either side of the angle grinder. The on/off with is slide switch on the side of the tool. It’s strictly on/off; it has nothing to do with the RPMs. The RPMs are adjusted by a thumb wheel on the end the handle, right under the power cord’s strain relief. The position of the slide switch is designed for right-handed operation. To turn the grinder on, one must push the switch past a spring, then push in toward the tool’s body to lock it on. It doesn’t always start on the first attempt. Sometimes I hafta do it twice. Shutting off is easy—just press the tail end of the switch. A lefty would probably be unhappy with this tool, as turning it would be a chore. Once the tool is running, the RPMs can be adjusted by a thumbwheel already mentioned. This thumbwheel sometimes resists turning. The spindle lock is easy to use regardless what hand one favors. It has a lot of slop in it, but it does lock the spindle. The 6-foot power cord is a 2-conductor cable with a 2 prong plug. I’m really pleased with this cord. Maybe a strange feature to highlight in a review of a power tool, but it’s very soft and flexible, doesn’t “remember” being bent after it’s unraveled for a few minutes, and is comfortable to handle. I like it. I wish the power cable on all power tools were as nice as this one. The wheel guard can be attached, adjusted, and removed easily without tools. Nice. Amazon’s description claims a 7.5 AMP motor, The video in the page description claims a 10 AMP motor. Somewhere, there are crossed signals. Another discrepancy in the vid shows the user installing the guard with a screwdriver. Maybe the grinder I have is a newer (or older?) model. No tools are required to install or adjust the guard on my unit. Overall, I like the tool. But I’m docking it 2 stars for an annoying intermittent start switch, difficulty I have adjusting RPMs, and the tool’s unfriendliness to left-handed people.
