Gemini said ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Solid and Capable Grinder for Home Projects I picked this up to handle some metal stock cutting and to clean up some old welds on a project in my garage. For a 7.5 Amp motor, it has a surprising amount of torque and maintains its speed well even when I put a bit of pressure on it. The 11,000 RPM is plenty for standard 4-1/2 inch cutoff wheels and flap discs, and it didn't feel like it was struggling or overheating during about twenty minutes of continuous use. The build quality feels rugged enough for DIY work. The shockproof handle actually does a decent job of dampening the high-frequency buzz that usually makes your hands go numb after a few minutes. I also appreciate the position of the slide switch; it is easy to reach with your thumb but stiff enough that you won't accidentally bump it off while you are working. Changing out the guard position is quick, which is a nice touch when you are switching between different angles. One minor downside is the power cord length. It is a bit on the short side, so I almost always have to use an extension cord even if I am working right next to an outlet. Also, the spindle lock button can be a little sticky, making it a bit of a fight to get the arbor nut loose for wheel changes. It is a bit loud even for an angle grinder, so definitely don't skip the ear protection with this one. ✅ Motor provides plenty of power for cutting through thick metal ✅ Side handle noticeably reduces hand fatigue from vibrations ✅ Compact size makes it easy to maneuver in tight spots ✅ Tool-free guard adjustment is convenient for quick changes ❌ Power cord is short and usually requires an extension ❌ Spindle lock button can be difficult to engage at times Bottom line: A reliable and powerful small grinder that punches above its weight class for home repairs and metal fabrication.

If you are not familiar with Amazon Vine, it is basically Amazon trading free* products for honest reviews. I do my best to make my reviews honest, real and value-oriented as if I had paid for each item I receive. * These items are not totally free as Vine members pay income tax on the items they receive. I only mention this because we Viners do have some skin in the game for each item we order. Why I ordered this item: I've been doing some work on my deck and needed to cut through old rusted bolts and grind down some welds. I have a big yellow-branded grinder but its kind of overkill for smaller jobs and heavier than I want to deal with for detail work. Likes: * The motor has enough power to handle cutting through half-inch bolts without bogging down. I tested it on some old carriage bolts I had lying around and it went through them fast. * This comes with a ton of accessories in the box. Two grinding wheels, two cutting wheels, two flap discs, a wire brush, and spare carbon brushes. At $43 that breaks down to really good value when you factor in what those discs cost separately. * The power cord is flexible and doesn't hold its coiled shape like cheaper cords do. Makes it easier to maneuver around without the cord fighting you. * Weight is around four pounds which is light enough that I can use it for extended periods without my arm getting tired. My big boy is closer to six pounds and the difference in wieldability is noticeable. * The variable speed dial lets you turn it down for polishing and crank it up for cutting. * It feels well-made and beefy. The size is perfect. No likes: * The side switch is positioned for right-handed use. It would be nice if it were more universal. It would be more versatile. Would I pay full price for this product: Yes Final thoughts: For basic grinding, cutting, and polishing tasks this at a price thats hard to beat. The included accessories alone make it worth considering if you don't already have a collection of discs and wheels.
