This was awesome! Worked well with my 21' Pacifica with 7 people. (My Pacifica has the roof rails.) The directions are a little vague but if you have built Legos youll be OK. (All bolts face out if that helps) I got the 74"x45"x8". I used a bag topper (in pic's) with it to keep everything together, water tight, and it had more than enough room for everything I needed. You can feel some top heavy feeling while driving and a little bit of fuel mileage change but not terrible I put pic of overall miles with it on top. I would use this again on out next family trip. Made it nice to NOT have everything in back of the van, especially when at a gas station and need to get into back or looking g out back window.

So the four stars is because there was a small couple of chips on the paint or the protective coating when it was shipped. I did not want to send it back to get another one because it was also reviews that somewhere either screws misaligned or holes miss aligned. All the holes and screws aligned for me. The assembly was a little bit time-consuming, especially because I didn't have a handheld electric drill. I'm not really sure why the windfare is made out of the same material the entire rack is made out of. It seems a little excessively heavy and front or top heavy to have a big chunk of steel up front. For me the racks it's so high because it's on top of crossrails that the windfair doesn't really improve sound or noise. I bought a thing called INNO wind fairer to attach to it lower so that the wind would be blocked over the sunroof. And that helps a lot. I like that it's 8 in tall, and feels like if I have tubs up there they will never slide off. The first trip I took it on, one of the screws came loose and a steel rod is flailing on the roof above my glass sunroof. So that was kind of scary. I just had to tighten it more and so I went around and tightened them all by hand. I keep the Allen key in my car just in case it happens again.. Since then I haven't had any screws loosen or slip. The clamps that hold the rack to the cross rails needed extra padding because my roof rails are thin. It was easy to just get something from Lowe's or online that's a sticky foam weatherproof pad to get a good grip with no rattling. Another thing is the wind resistance of the entire thing. I noticed with my Hyundai Santa Fe hybrid all wheel drive the MPG dropped from an average of 30 to 31 on highway miles real driving before I put on the rack. After it's been about 26. Kind of a bigger drop than I expected. I thought maybe one MPG. So far have not had the opportunity to use it to carry load but I doubt that will be an issue. I have not noticed rust yet despite a few chips on the protective coating. I bought about 4 racks and this was the best combo of size and sturdiness and cost. A close competitor was weathertech but pretty expensive and the plastic piping was so obstructive to the view through moonroof and sunroof. I like that this is thin slits. I can still see up if I want to. I am considering removing the wind fairer bc of its weight and lack of apparent effect and that it blocks some of my view from the sunroof. May update if something else comes up. Hope I can use it for camping gear. Last thing is the 8in on my car makes this barely fit in my garage. Check height of your car. I would not want to have to put this on and off my car frequently. It's a small Herculean effort to get it up there without scratching the car with one man. If my garage had incline in it, may scrape on angle I have 2in clearance. Can still park in a parking garage can easily go through car wash. If manufacturer can make clear plastic windfair that would be giving it 4.5 stars. Lighten the load guys. Adapter would be good, too to cover below the bottom of rack bc it sits up high.

I wouldn’t consider purchasing from this company/supplier. I would be returning the rack instead of modding it but we leave for the beach tomorrow. The holes aren’t machined with the proper orientation. I’d like to think a 5th grader could recognize the issue. This company’s quality control should be fired…with all the other vendors on the market I’d not even bother with purchasing from this company.

I’ve had this thing on my car for a year now. Still looks good other than some slight rusting on the bolt hardware but not bad. It’s holding strong and steady. It definitely makes some noise but turn the radio up a little and you’re fine. I’d say a great value.
