The media could not be loaded. I'm no chainsaw guru. I've used the good ones (Husqvarna and Stihl) at work. Had a smaller, older Poulan that I'd like to forget about. I needed a saw for around the house, but couldn't justify the cost of a premium brand. I was a little apprehensive, but the good reviews sold it for me. Some videos can be found if you search. Those helped persuade me as well. The saw was packaged well and the assembly went as expected. 25:1 mix for first 20 hours of service. There is no primer bulb so expect a few extra pulls during the first start-up of the unit before the engine will turn over. For me, it took 7 pulls for turnover, then it started on the next pull. Future cold starts took 2-3 pulls for turnover and started on the next, provided the choke is operated correctly. Also, expect to adjust the chain a couple times after initial start-up. all the parts have to settle into place. The saw has an automatic chain oiler with oil flow adjustment screw. The carb is fully adjustable. The manual is surprisingly comprehensive. The bar cover is thin plastic, but works. The fuel mixing jug is nothing fancy, but handy. Comes with a combo wrench/flathead screwdriver, couple of Allen wrenches, a small screwdriver for carb adjustments, and a file for chain maintenance. The saw cuts well. I've burned through 2 tanks of fuel cutting down and cutting up 2 wild cherry trees. Neither exceeded 12" across, so I haven't pushed it too hard yet, but I plan to. 1st impressions are good. An Excellent product. Well packaged and well worth the price. Had an issue with product model and customer service was excellent with making it right. No primer bulb to worry with, couple of initial pulls to prime and starts right up. Yes I would purchase GarWinner again. It is comparable to the leading chain saws and i am very satisfied. Used saw 3 times and so far so good. Cuts through decent size logs quick, however, the big test will be this spring when it'll be put to the test... Likes: No bulb used to prime engine. Easy to read fuel can mixing guide. Easy to access filter for cleaning. Good value for your money... Surprise: Short pull rope... Takes some getting used to if your use to pulling long starter ropes... Other than that, no issue thus far... AL ... show more

It cranked one time, cut down a small tree branch. Cut it off and to move the branch. Will not crank anymore. Checked spark plug, fresh gas and oil. It is a pieces of crap. Don't buy.

So yes it is cheap and yes it can cut but once your chains done forget about finding a NEW one Amazon filter is set to sell sell sell baby but it wont point you to a replacement chain FOR A GARWINNER and there is no information other then Amazon about these saws so BUYER be SCARED buy American at lease we can make replacement parts and aren't full blown Pale folks western Haters These is just another scam product coming from you know WHOOOOO dont waist your money. ... show more

    • This saw is flippin amazing...
I paid $140 and I end up using it more than my Stihl. No, this isn't going to standup to a workload like the Stihl will, but for the price it's quite amazing. It starts easily, has plenty of power to turn the 20 inch chain very easily. The 24 inch Stihl I have probably throws chips a little bit faster, but not that much. One small downside is that the gas tank is a little small, so it requires frequent refilling, especially if you saw larger trees or logs. This is has a nice weight to it, feels solid, without feeling heavy to use. I haven't run it a huge amount yet, so I can't speak to long term reliabllity, but I've done probably 10 uses of 2 hours of steady use so far, and during that time it's been everything I could have hoped for. ... show more
