So awesome!!!! I was tired of having big units in my windows that the window had to be propped way open with huge gaps on the side that flimsy plastic tried to cover. Now ....with these units my windows are barely open and I used some old towels to fill the small gaps. The unit keeps my bedroom super cold and it is NOT battling a draft from the outdoor 100° weather. The unit easily has feet to keep it supported on the outside. Inside I often for get it is even there. On cool mode the fan runs all the time as the a/c come on and off; I like this because the loud kick on and off of other units wakes me up....this one does not wake me at night. So far excellent. I hope it is as good as the other brand name one I bought last year and is working well so far this season, too. We like it has the dry setting which is usually the need in the space. When you reduce humidity the room feels cooler. We appreciate being able to get light in through the window and not it be blocked by the AC. This feature alone is so valuable. The feature to be able tot open the top half of window when need fresh air is nice too. The set up is fair although being a petite person, I needed another set of hands and due to opening of window I needed to remove one panel and put it back once the back half of AC overlapped sill those extra set of hands made the installation much quicker. I think the price I paid for was ok, 287.00. I think all models made from now on should be this style. I am crossing my fingers it lasts me a few good number of seasons. ... show more

3 Stars Because it works GREAT.. Relatively easy to install and the foam inserts it comes with is a nice lego building block to fill your window gaps, HOWEVER.. after using it for a few months I'm noticing that when I use it on cool mode, it's sucking moisture from SOMEWHERE and making my room feel like the rainforest, My bed feels half soaked, my pillows are moist and the walls feel like a humid day hit hard... Not too sure whats going on but I'll be consulting the owners manual and see if theres anything in there about it, If not I'll be attempting contact with the sellers. Honestly if the moisture issue is just a regional issue, This AC unit would be a 5 stars.. However I cant be risking mold if there is something janky with this unit. ... show more

Very easy install. Works great! Gets nice and cold. The remote functions fine but I preferred just making and saving settings. I even unplugged it and replugged it in several hours and it started right with my setting and I have not had to adjust it once since saving settings. Would buy again.

It's not a u-shaped A/C as advertised. It's a regular A/C that costs twice as much as a comparable 5,000 BTU A/C.
