Description

Monstera adansonii is a rock star among houseplants, beloved on social media and in real life for its large, heart-shaped, hole-y leaves. Like Monstera deliciosa, Monstera adansonii is commonly referred to as Swiss cheese plant because of the holes (perforations or fenestrations) in its leaves. Also called Swiss cheese vine, the smaller, more compact Monstera adasonii develops leaf perforations sooner than Monstera deliciosa. The holes can represent up to 50 percent or so of a leaf. One theory for why these tropical forest dwellers "go hole-y" is that the openings enable light to more easily reach lower leaves. With its vining growth habit, Monstera adasonii a wonderful hanging basket plant, adding living dimension to your home decor from above. Or from a plant shelf or stand. The plant can be trained to climb as well and is capable of spreading to as much as 8 feet in length, though it arrives in a 6 inch pot. Provide plenty of bright, indirect light. Water so that soil is consistently, evenly moist but not soggy. Water again when the top inch or two of soil feels dry or nearly dry. You can feed the plant monthly during spring through fall with an all-purpose liquid houseplant food diluted by half. Monsteras like temps in the 65 to 80 degrees Fahrenheit range and humidity above 50 percent. You can increase humdity by using a humdifier or placing the monstera near other tropical foliage plants or in your kitchen or bathroom. For additional information, check the label on your plant. I ordered from here and unfortunately Amazon lost my package and it was gone for weeks.I requested a refund because the plant never arrived. Then just yesterday I received the plant but it was completely dead 😂 Amazon had it for so long that the monstera was killed and completely brown. It’s a shame because I can tell that this plant was beautiful and thriving when she was sent to me. I still wanted to come on here and leave 5 stars because it’s not the sellers fault and they did send me a beautiful plant ❤️ ... show more

This is not the first time I have bought plants using the internet. I was hopeful that this was going to turn out just like those other times….WRONG LOL!! I monitored this order because I didn’t want the plant to be just sitting out in the heat I wanted to be sure I get it indoors quick. It was packaged well but the plant was in very bad condition. There were so many yellow dying leaves that needed to be pruned, some of the leaves are torn, and there are parts where the root in completely exposed. I was just in disbelief at this poor plant so I started to care for it by cutting as much dead leaves I could and watering it. I plan I re potting but I just wanted to give it a rest for a little bit because it had gone threw so much! Finally with a combo of those 2things and it being cool in my home it’s turning around. I think it will live it’s finally standing up where it was drooping and just looking so alive now instead of it looking like it is on the brink of death. I am excited to see it grow and thrive but I know that is gonna take a little time and A LOT of TLC!!! Idk if this plant would have been healthier if it was cooler outside but truthfully it looks like it has been neglected for a while. So buy at your own risk….maybe wait until Sumer is over and it’s cool outside ... show more

This plant arrived so well packaged with good moisture and hydration. The plant is so full in the pot I think I will have to replant it in a larger pot or separate/propagate them, which is awesome! I am so happy with this order, I will buy from here again for sure.

There are a lot of reviews stating that the plants came unwell. Which made me nervous to purchase. However, mine came great! She definitely needed a drink after traveling. But I chose to place her in a water bowl for 1 hour to absorb. She came very lush, green, and healthy otherwise. Very happy with my purchase! Plant was very nicely packaged in wet soil and a protective box but when I removed it from the box the leaves were so dry that I'm not sure I could revive it. This morning I found the leaves limp and not lifelike. What I started to say in review,I would like to revise . The new shoots that I see this morning look OK. I was very disappointed when I unwrapped the plant. It looked like all water had been removed though still green. I now think my initial impression was in error. It may revive itself. I change my review from bad to medium. It is a goodlooking plant if it can revive itself. ... show more
