I lost my original saw like this batteries and case to theifs having still the tool only. This model is much better and having oil already apart of it's features is the practical and better tool . The adjustment screw will fail first I'm afraid as the bar isn't held on by 2 tabs like most only the bolt keeps it attached loosens often so having a wrench handy is a required process other than that the convience of priming oil to chain bar has me settled for the price paid. Love it's power and battery life charger is a plug in battery to recharge and has a meter to know how much life u have . The case fits this tool with the bar on and holds all needed tools it comes with a screw driver no wrench tool ... show more

The Seesii 6 inch mini chainsaw with oiler is awesome. It has plenty of power and cuts great. It’s also nice it has a oiler. It’s a manual oiler, but it’s still a great feature and works great. I had a SeeSii 4 inch mini chainsaw without a oiler that was nice and worked well for a couple of years of heavy use and abuse till I wore it out. I like it enough that I figured I would get another SeeSii mini chainsaw to replace it so I could use the batteries and charger from my old one with the new one. I decided the get the 6 inch saw this time and wow! This thing has way more power and cuts a lot fast than the 4 inch version. It’s a great saw. I will definitely buy another one if needed. Also, Seesii has great customer service. The first saw I purchased had a bad battery charger so I contacted them and they sent me a new charger for free and I received it in less than a week. ... show more

the saw performed excellently and I got tired before the battery ran down. I cracked the side cover which houses the chain adjustment screw which made the saw inoperable. I emailed support and received an answer in less than a day.. they mailed me two new side covers which I got in a little over a week. I would buy again ... show more

    • Perfect for occasional cutting

The SeeSii 6" mini-chain saw was perfect for me. I never needed nor used a chain saw until after a recent storm when the electric company dragged neighbors' downed tree limbs into my yard to make way for their huge equipment. The limbs were about 8" at the base. I bought this saw to chop the branches/offshoots into pieces small enough for my trash container. This took about 8 hours (spread out over 4 days). I don't know about the longevity of the saw, batteries, or charger but all worked effectively and reliably for me on this job. Pros/Cons: 1. Oil: You can see if the saw has oil but you can't see how much (no gauge). Instructions suggest adding no more than 30 ml (6 tsp.). That's fine for the first fill but not helpful for subsequent "topping off". I guess you run it until it's totally out and then fill. I never ran out during this project. It definitely is less messy to fill if you have a small bottle with a narrow tip and would have been nice if the mfgr. had provided one. 2. Batteries/charger: Both batteries charged up fine and I recharged one battery each day with no problem. It took about 1.5 hours to recharge. You need to remove the battery as soon as it's charged up and not leave it in the charger. I worked about 2 hours each day, sawing and untangling branches, hauling the now-small bundles up to the trashcan, etc.so the saw was not in constant use during that time and I never ran out of power during usage. 3. Cutting: The saw had no problem cutting 1/2"-6" branches. It worked reliably, consistently, and effectively. Tip: Begin your cut as close to the base of the saw blade as possible, rather than in the middle or tip, for stability and effectiveness. Surprisingly, I had difficulty with small offshoots < 1/2" because they are more flexible/green and the saw would jump around unless I used considerable downward pressure and held the offshoot as taut as possible. A chain saw of any size probably is overkill for such small branches but you know the old saying "When you get a new hammer, everything looks like a nail!" 4. Safety switch: Very safe and easy to engage if you are righthanded. Warning: if you are lefthanded, it is *too* easy to engage. A normal lefthanded grip on the saw engages the safety switch/button so remember to keep your finger away from the trigger when walking around with it. 5. Maintenance: The manual suggests cleaning the saw after every use to prolong the life of the saw. To clean, you have to remove the cover and chain/bar. I was blown away by how much oily sawdust, leaf parts, and general gunk was hidden away under there. I used a cloth first but really Q-tips and toothpicks seem necessary to remove dirt/debris. I have no idea how much gunk got into the motor itself since I didn't go that far to clean. 6. Chain tensioner: It is common among chain saws that the chain loosens a little when it's new and that applies to this saw as well. There is a *very* small screw (accessible without removing the cover) to adjust tension and the mfgr. supplies a screwdriver. Since the chain comes off every time you clean the saw, you have to loosen/tighten that screw each time. I think this would be a problem with frequent usage. I used the saw only a few times and that screw already shows signs of stripping...very soft metal. Summary: This saw works great and the only red flag for me was the softness of the tension adjustment screw. ... show more

This saw is quite powerful despite its size. It cuts well. My father who is 80 can handle this due to its size a blessing. I cuts some limbs way bigger than expected and it still just kept running. I have used it all day cutting brush and smaller limbs about eight times with no problem. I got it cheap the first time thinking it really wouldn’t work well and it shocked me. I showed my whole family and now they have each bought one. I did try another brand due to the special sale on it. BEWARE some of them like the other one I bought do not have a oil reservoir to keep chainsaw greased while cutting which causes early failure . This one does. A SUPER buy when on sale. ... show more
