The wire locks together with the aluminum foil both outside and inside to form an airtight and leak proof lock system. Replaced a 36 inch over the counter stove top vent and needed something flexible as the new exhaust was in a different place. The new vent location caused a difficult problem for traditional metal exhaust venting at the local hardware stores. This was the trick to fix a near impossible issue.

I needed some tubing to put on an air conditioner that I have because it's tubing broke. I did like this because of how long it was and that does help me to move the air conditioner around my home a bit more.
