These types of items are what we’ve found best to always have at hand at our spa - following some clients’ misfortune of flushing feminine hygiene products …or a 1/4 roll of TP formerly used to double cover the hourly hygienically sterilized toilet seat.. Go Figure! :-| … We bought this pack for the 39” long grabber thingie …more on that in a minute. The plastic doo-hickies we’ve been using for years for emergency toilet de-clogging BUT THE ONEs INCLUDED IN THIS SET ARE SHORTER ONLY 20” RATHER THAN the 25” ones we usually use - you’ll find that last 5 inches of reach is often the difference between “Sweet Success” and Oh-Poop! The plastic thingies are one time use and the 25” ones (usually) DO THE TRICK! - So in this pack - the 20” one’s included may be of help - but not as much help as 25” ones, or the include 24” metal grabbers may do it! …but certainly not the 39 INCH LONG auger will if the former won’t! This 63” dude is a last resort puppy - that will either do the trick un-stocking a toilet in the middle of a busy spa schedule when you can’t afford to have a bath go down - OR NOT! and to be able to “usually it will get it done” days before the plumber you would otherwise need to call call - or having to get a new wax seal and pulling the toilet all together - are all something NO BUSINESS has time for… The down side of NOT having the 25” plastic (or in this case the 20” included) do-hickies do the trick entirely the 1st time and needing to pull out this pack’s 24” grabbers - or its 39 inch auger is simply that the plastic doo-hickies are simply use and toss. With the plastic do-hickies there’s no fuss, or muss and no ICKIE metal thing to have to figure our how to clean. That said keeping the toilets free and clear is most important in the spa business and these items help keep a big smile on one’s face (because you know you can fix the issue yourself fast) as you assure the customer (who undoubtedly created the mess) that “…We’re SO Sorry this Occurred! …No! …it’s no bother at all - be fixed in a jiffy!” And really mean it. And having the 39” auger dude handy (or that of the 24” metal grabbers) is all worth keeping any embarrassed customer happy and your business running smoothly - and following its use - even putting up with occasionally needing to fill up a bucket with 170 degree water + 1/2 cup of bleach and soaking the metal thing-ie in it before (well gloved) you ensure it gets cleaned and rinsed again in 170 degree water for re-use. As all of you who own businesses know … It’s all in a days work of keeping your customers happy and knowing that you can almost always avoid another untimely, incredibly expensive, avoidable, always too late, emergency plumber call … And while we’re on the topic of avoiding emergency plumbing calls and despite our adorably fun and informative postings requesting guests to avoid the type of causes we all know lead to stuffed toilets … even though we are on city sewer - some time ago having run into this problem over the years we also started monthly use of a RidX flush over night to breakdown whatever paper products possible in the leads to the main sewer. And that’s all I have to say on the subject ;-)

It is difficult to get too excited about a declogging tool. But I must admit that I feel like a plumbing god when I pull giant wads of hair out of my daughter's clogged shower drain. The plastic stick thingee works well on light hair clogs, the gripper thingee is good when you need to pull something out like a clump of paper or a trapped nut or ring that falls down the drain. But my favorite is the weirdly shaped spring thingee. It is flexible and I love the different diameter changes as you place it in the drain. A few twists and the spring traps most hair, paper, etc., then you just pull it out. Now that I re-read this review, I have to confess that I guess I DO get excited about drain tools. This is a great set and a must-have for anyone who gets clogged drains. You just can't beat this package for the price.

For this price this is a value, but the orange tool is shorter than the original version. That's why I gave it 4 stars. It still works and gets all the gunky hair out of the drains. Quick tip -- you'll want to have a pair of gloves, needle nose pliers and paper towels to finish the job. The pliers really help pull out the rest of the hair from the tool so you can use it again.

This product is made simply for a very minor hair release. The handle on the biggest anger broke on my first use, making it impossible to use. The small ones might do well on a bathroom sink but that would be the only use I recommend for these.

My kid is bad to clogg his toilet with an absurd amount of toilet paper. Not too long ago, he forgot hed cloggednit already, and made it much worse with a frwsh low altitude bombing run. No amount of plunging made a dent. I was so mad. Enter tbis nifty bit of $10 amazingness. As others have mentioned, it's not for the faint of heart! The pieces are several inches shorted than I would have preferred, but, with a thick pair of cleaning gloves that went well past my wrists, I was able to use on of the orange strips to break through the toughest clog and the longest metal spiral to clear further. A few flushes, a lot of bleach and scrubbing later, and the toilet was back in action. If you need to unclogg a toilet often, and find plungeres are not great at getting a sufficient seal to blow through the mess (I blame the elongated toilet shape), this set could save you hundreds of dollars. I will never allow my house to be without one of these again!!

So far, I've used it twice and both times, if I didn't have it, it would have been impossible to retrieve what I needed to retrieve. Once in the sink when the top part of the water handles popped out and fell into the drain. Another was a 1/2 inch tube going down about 6". It may easy work without me having to dismantle the stuff I was working on. You won't need this often but when you do, it'll be of great use. Just don't forget where you place it because you won't be using it often.

I was so close to calling a plumber for our clogged tub drain (I'm talking 20-30 minutes to drain a standard bath). I used the top rated liquid stuff and it didn't help. These tools were my last ditch effort before calling in a professional. One good use of the tool with the blue handle and I had removed a clog the size of my fist. I did have to pull it apart with pliers to get it through my drain holes but there's no way I would've been able to get it out without it. Drain works like it's new now!

The product is worth the price. Works well on shower drains and sinks as long as the block is close to the drain. Everything is pretty easy to use. The short little snake pulled a hairball out of the shower drain pretty well, this won't perform like a expensive snake, but at a few bucks it got the job done.
